Matron of Honor
"Steph and I first met July 4, 1996. Over the past 23.5 years, our relationship has developed into an emotionally strong and intimate friendship. Steph was there for all of my firsts, we were permanent play dates as kids, and we were roommates until 2015. I am beyond excited for Steph and Mark as they prepare to step into a new chapter of their lives and I think Steph is going to appreciate Mark much more as a housemate than she ever did me."

"Mark and I met almost 8 years ago in church and became good brothers/friends. One of my favorite memories is when the first time I the youth bible study. Marky already knew all the answers but one thing I noticed is he would always submit to leadership. Even though he probably already knew more than me or could do a better one, he always submitted to leadership. We've had many laughs and good times. The hardest time is the time we had to say goodbye-the time him and his family answered the call to go overseas and be missionaries. I went up to him and said, "No goodbyes homeboy. I'll see you later." We hugged and cried. We had a David & Jonathan moment. Now I say from one friend/brother to another friend/brother: live long and prosper brother Marky, have fun and enjoy life together!"

“I can’t recall the exact moment I met Steph. We’ve always been friends who became more like sisters. We’ve traveled together, cried over losses, celebrated birthdays & graduations, & invested years into each other’s lives. All while being a state apart. One of my favorite memories is when Steph came to visit & reenacted the deck scene from The Titanic, sitting on a chair pretending as a ships railing, belting out My Heart Will Go On. She never fails to make me laugh, encourage me, & speak truth in love during difficult times. She really does have the compassion of Christ in her heart & it overflows into all those she encounters. Steph will be a glowing bride & have a blast celebrating her wedding to Mark (yeah I’m biased but we can all agree they’re a wonderful couple right?).”

"One of my favorite memories of Mark was at my brother's house. We were hanging out in the living room and in walks 2 yr. old Mark. He proceeds to go to the center of the living room to demonstrate his dancing skills to the family! Words cannot describe the dance moves...his face was serious and determined and his moves were sporadic, jerky, and off beat! So hilarious! Another memory is when I was so proud of Mark and his band when they took the stage at the Amarillo Harvesters 2019. They rocked the place out! Not only was he the lead guitarist who shredded the guitar solo, but he was the leader of a group of young people that bought a powerful moment to that Harvesters!"

Steph & I attended the same church for 20+ years! Through the years, we grew very close and developed a strong bond. My favorite memory is when I picked up Steph from high school in my Honda that the transmissions was going out on. When we drove off the car suddenly made a loud BOOM sound! I slowly accelerated and drove off as fast as the car would allow us to go!! (Which was turtle speed! LOL!) Steph never got embarrassed, she just laughed about it all the way home. I love Steph’s joyful personality! She’s full of life, kindness, passion, encouragement & always ready to help. She has a BIG heart & loves people. She’s a living testimony of Gods faithfulness in working all things together for the good. I’m so happy to be a part of their big day! Love you both! ~Aunty Nelle

"Mark was introduced to me on August 29, 2000. He is my first nephew. I have watched him grow and develop into a godly young man and accomplish many milestones in life. If I can say anything about Mark, is that he adapts to every circumstance with poise and a good attitude. He naturally has a caring heart for people. I have seen this exemplified through his service in this church, for his family, and his friends. There is never a time where Markie would say "I can't." One of my favorite memories was when he was about 3 years old and I made him laugh so hard he peed his pants! From his phases of the "Nutcracker Ballet", to "Spider-Man" and "Splinter Cell" and his, "It's a piece of cake" slogan, it's amazing to see him now enter into this chapter of life!"

"Steph and I have grown up with each other. We didn't really get to know each other until we moved back to Amarillo. One of my favorite memories was when we went out to eat at Texas Roadhouse with my family. My brother would always give my sister and I his pickles because he never liked them. Well this time, Steph went with us. When my brother got his food, he handed his pickles to Stephanie. My sister and I were very shocked at this change. How dare him?! It was our little tradition. We glared at my brother for a long time. He didn’t realize of course. My mom asked us why were we glaring and our response was, “He gave his pickles to Steph!” We all bursted out in laugher. That was strike one for Steph-those were our pickles! Lol!

"I have known Mark since 2012 when we were little kids. We met at the 'Faces of Meth' play with my family. After a few weeks we became best friends. My favorite times with him are staying at his house and staying up late playing tag in the dark without being loud. Some other memories are: going camping, staying at the tent for our tent revivals, and doing something almost every night with the teens together."
