Cancun International Airport
Cancun International airport is about a 45-minute ride from Playa del Carmen. We recommend pre-arranging a shuttle service from the airport to the hotel. The Paradisus does not have a shuttle service. Note: When you arrive in Mexico you will have to fill out an arrival card or incoming passenger card that officals will stamp as you go through customs. Please hold onto this document as you will need it to board your flight home. If you misplace the document you will have to get a new one at the airport and this can take up to an hour to complete.

Travel Tips
1) Make sure your passport is up-to-date. Keep your passport in a secure place in your hotel room - you won't need your passport at any of the retail shops, restaurants or bars in Mexico. 2) Do not carry excessive amounts of cash or credit cards. 3) Inform your bank that you will be out of the country so your credit/debit cards do not get locked. 4) Take out local currency - the conversion centers in the airport and around the city tend to be huge ripoffs. You will get the best conversion rate at ATMs or banks, and the conversion will be exact. 5) Not all places take credit cards especially taxis or buses. 6) You will not need an electrical adapter in Mexico. All voltages are the same as the U.S. 7) Before leaving the U.S., remember to activate your phone’s global capabilities. 8) Do not explore alone; always have a buddy. 9) Only drink water from sealed bottles; do not drink the tap water. 10) HAVE FUN!
