We met in October 2019 on a little dating app called Hinge, whose tagline was "the app meant to be deleted." We talked on the phone several times before meeting, and that first meeting could have been a scene in a movie. He worked late, so I met him at his apartment. We arrived at the same time, and he was walking up the sidewalk to the building. I got out of my car and we just stood across the street from each other staring briefly. He was just as handsome as his profile pics, and so sweet. We had frozen pizza and wine, and it was perfect for being the middle of the night. Before I left, he told me "You can do what you want, but I'm not looking for anyone else, and I'm deleting my app." And he did just that, and so did I, and here we are 6 years later! I did ask him if he was sure about dating someone older and he said "age is just a number."
