This is a cozy local favorite for coffee, breakfast, and lunch, with an art gallery on the first and second levels. This spot is what made us fall in love with the town!
Texas Through Time Museum
Admission is Free!! They have hundreds of authentic fossils on display and specialize in fossils from Texas and surrounding states. They also often offer special exhibits as well as those on permanent display.
Hill County Courthouse
You can take a self-guided tour of the courthouse if you’re in Hillsboro during the week. The courtroom is beautiful, but don’t forget to go to the basement and up the iron stairs where the stained glass windows are. It’s a beautiful spot.
THE YARD - Downtown Hillsboro
Free concert series running every Saturday night in May and June - and September and October. Lawn, picnic tables, stage, free concerts, food truck, and nearby restaurants and bars.
