The Reunion

From Reunion to Union

We met at college during Steph's Freshmen year and Jared's Junior year. There was chemistry early on, however timing wasn't quite right yet. We saw each other a handful of times throughout the next 10 years but we were still on our own personal journeys. Finally, at a mutual friend's party about 13 years after we initially met, the stars finally aligned. We rekindled our relationship instantly while talking about live music, camping, and tying knots (literally, Jared's an Eagle Scout!). Now we are so thrilled to be marrying our respective college crush and officially tie the knot together!

The Adventure

The Stars Aligned and Our Adventure Began

Our first unofficial date was Steph tagging along to a live music show at a spooky 1800’s western ghost town. We had so much fun exploring the grounds and learning about each other's interests. After that, we were inseparable. Monty, Steph's doggo, quickly adopted Jared as his dad and the rest is history. In July 2020, we were thrilled to purchase our first house together in Dripping Springs and can't wait to start this new chapter as newlyweds.

The Proposal

The Beginning of Our Happily Ever After

Our dates always seem to start with spaghetti, involve some sort of Austin activity, and end with Limoncello (an Italian lemon liqueur). This night was no exception. Jared took Steph to a romantic Italian restaurant and vineyard (our wedding caterer's parent restaurant) to be wined and dined. We then had a romantic walk around the Texas State Capitol building under the stars. Jared popped the question in the Capitol's front yard, just the two of us, and it was absolutely perfect. The ring is a Salt and Pepper diamond, from my salt and pepper fella (hair that is :) ...also be on the look out for a taste of Limoncello and another drink close to our hearts at our reception dessert table!
