I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please advise of any severe food allergies (nuts, shellfish, etc.) or dietary restrictions on your RSVP. We will try to accommodate your request as best as possible, within reason

Are kids welcome?

We wish we could include all children, but are unfortunately we are only able to accommodate immediate family members children at our reception.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We're so excited to celebrate this day with our nearest and dearest, and are hoping to keep the guest list limited. We ask our guests to please not bring a plus one, unless they are designated a "guest" on the RSVP.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Guests should dress for a Summer Cocktail Party. Wear cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, sundresses, floral prints, suits in lighter hues, and slacks. Suit jackets optional.

Is The Wedding Outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place in the Overlook Pavilion at the Penn State Arboretum, which is covered overhead but not air conditioned. Much of the other grounds of the Arboretum are outside. Please dress accordingly for the weather and plan to bring an umbrella for the walk to the Pavilion in the event of rain. Reception is indoors at the hotel.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Our Wedding Ceremony will start promptly at 3:30pm. Guests are welcome to explore the Arboretum before and after the ceremony.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

For guests who drive to the ceremony, parking is available at no cost from 3pm-5pm in the Katz lot near the Arboretum. For our reception located at the Graduate State College Hotel, self-parking with unlimited in/out privileges is available for $15 per night. More information on parking garages, bus, shuttle, and other transportation, please visit the "Travel & Stay" section of our website.
