What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend arriving to the ceremony at 5 PM, which is the earliest you can arrive. We will have champagne available upon arrival and live music playing. We will promptly begin the ceremony at 5:30 PM. Please give yourself enough time to navigate the city and parking situation.

What is the parking situation?

Answer

All wedding festivities will be at The Lucy, in the heart of Philadelphia on Broad Street. There are multiple parking garages surrounding the venue and within walking distance. SpotHero is a great app that allows you to plan ahead. We just ask that you leave ample time to park if you are driving! We would also suggest Uber or Lyft as an option if you are not staying in the city. There will be plenty of libations flowing and we want everyone to have a good time and be safe!

Do you recommend any parking garages?

Answer

The DoubleTree has its own parking garage located to the right of the entrance. There is a parking garage behind The Lucy/Cambria- you can access this from Locust or Juniper: 1327 Locust St, Philadelphia, PA 19107 (Juniper & Locust Garage - InterPark)

What does Black Tie Preferred mean?

Answer

It means that we prefer for everyone to dress up with us for the night! Men can wear tuxedos or dark, full suits with a tie. Women can wear gowns and floor length dresses. We kindly ask that you leave the sneakers, jeans, and t-shirts at home.

What color is the bridal party wearing?

Answer

The bridesmaids will be wearing black gowns and the groomsmen will be wearing black and white tuxedos. This doesn’t mean you can’t wear black, some people just like to know!

Are kids welcome?

No, our wedding is a 21+ event.

Do I get a plus one?

Answer

Your invitation will clearly state who is invited. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Sunita.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Dan & Stephanie will be staying at The Cambria which is connected to The Lucy. We will have a block of rooms reserved at The DoubleTree, which is just a few doors down. We are in a great location and The Bellevue and Ritz Carlton are also located within walking distance to the venue.

I'll be in Philly starting Friday, what do I do?

Please, please let Steph or Dan know if you are traveling in early. We will have a Welcome Party on Friday night and would love to have you there. Thank you for making the trip to celebrate us!

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by March 15, 2024 via the mailed back RSVP card included in your invitation.

Why was there no meal selection on my RSVP card?

Answer

Our venue will be doing tableside ordering. We will have 3 options to choose from, plus vegan and vegetarian options as well. I don't know what I want to eat a month in advance and don't expect you to either!

Why did you choose The Lucy?

Answer

Philly is a special place for us both. Dan is a Philly sports fan and when we first started dating Steph lived in the city and we have so many fun memories of falling in love there! Getting married in the city just feels right! We also want our wedding to be convenient and stress free for our guests. We chose The Lucy because there are many hotels surrounding it. We are having our ceremony & reception at the same place, so that you don’t have to drive all around town the day of. We encourage you to make a night or weekend of it! Hotel check-in is at 4 PM so you’ll have time to freshen up and get ready to party!
