Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Stephanie Simmons and Ash Berkman
Here are just a few of our favorite things to do around Charlotte in the fall. We hope you find something for you to enjoy as well!

U.S. National Whitewater Center

5000 Whitewater Center Parkway, Charlotte, NC 28214

The U.S. National Whitewater Center (USNWC) in late October offers a great mix of fall activities: rafting typically winds down, but ziplines, ropes courses, mountain biking, hiking/running trails (free access!), and the festive Wildwoods (lights & art installation) are in full swing! (Small fee to park).

Camp North End

300 Camp Road, Charlotte, NC 28206

The place for pickle-ball! Charlotte's vibrant 76-acre hub for work, play, events, and community. Explore creative workspaces, dining, art, and innovation.

Carolina Renaissance Festival

16445 Poplar Tent Road, Huntersville, NC 28078

Take an autumn stroll through the wooded Village of Fairhaven where history comes alive with non-stop, day-long, immersive and interactive entertainments like no place else! Shop an abundance of arts and crafts in the village open-air Artisan Market!

Discovery Place Science

168 West 6th Street, Charlotte, NC 28202

Got kids? This place is entertainment for hours! Interactive, hands-on exhibits for all ages.

Carowinds

14523 Carowinds Blvd, Charlotte, NC 28273

In late October, Carowinds offers family fun with The Great Pumpkin Fest (kid-friendly Halloween) in Camp Snoopy (new rides like Snoopy's Racing Railway, play areas, trails, crafts, shows, corn mazes) and daytime rides, while evenings transition to the spooky SCarowinds (teen/adult haunted attractions), so plan daytime for kids and evenings for older guests, avoiding SCarowinds for young children.
