Things to Do

Peg’s Glorified Ham N Eggs

720 South Meadows Parkway, Reno, NV 89521

This is Andrew & I's favorite breakfast spot! Try one of the Mexican breakfast skillets :)

The Habit Burger Grill

500 North Sierra Street, Reno, NV 89503

This is our favorite burger joint-- way better than In-N-Out in our opinion!!! The Santa Barbara Char is our fave. It is enough to feed 2 people! So good!

Circus Circus

500 N Sierra Street, Reno, NV 89503

Need something to do with the kiddos?! Look no further! Stephanie loved going here as a kid!!! They have tons of games-- make sure to bring some money to buy tokens.

Virginia City

Virginia City, NV 89440

So many memories here! From spending 4th of July here many times and just going randomly with the family. They have a cute little ice cream shop and all kinds of small stores in historic buildings! Virginia City, Nevada, is a historic mining boomtown famous for the 1859 Comstock Lode silver discovery, known for its well-preserved 19th-century Victorian architecture, museums, saloons, and unique events, offering a step back in time near Reno. Once a metropolis of 25,000, it's now a popular tourist destination with a small population, featuring attractions like the Fourth Ward School, Piper's Opera House, and mine tours.

Lake Tahoe

Lake Tahoe is a large, deep freshwater lake in the Sierra Nevada mountains, straddling the border of California and Nevada, known for its clarity and surrounding scenery, making it a major tourist destination for skiing and outdoor recreation. It is the largest alpine lake in North America, the second deepest in the U.S. (after Crater Lake), and is fed by 63 streams, with only the Truckee River flowing out. If you plan on going to one of the beaches, look into the parking situation ahead of time and be prepared for lots of traffic.

Hiking trails (too many to list!)

There are many beautiful hiking trails in the mountains surrounding Reno! Some of the best ones follow the creeks coming down from the peaks. As you climb in elevation, the ecosystem changes from desert sagebrush to huge pine trees and grassy meadows. If you love nature be sure to check one out!
