FAQs

Question

Can I bring a "plus one" guest?

Answer

Sure, if you are not married and don't know many people who will be at our wedding, please feel free to bring a "plus one" with you! If you are bringing a guest, please remember to RSVP for two people instead of one.

Question

What type of venue is the wedding at?

Answer

Our ceremony and reception will be held outside of Stephanie's Uncle Rick and Aunt Betty's house. It is beautifully situated on a couple acres of land with a creek running through it, surrounded by the foothills of mountains! There will be plenty of parking in the back field behind the house.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We encourage everyone to wear whatever will be comfortable during our outdoor ceremony and reception! Dressy casual / business casual is fine. Be sure to bring layers, since the afternoon is probably going to be hot, and it always cools down to chilly temps (possibly high 50s) in the evenings here. Avoid pointy heels because they may sink into the grass-- and bring some dancing shoes!

Question

What sorts of beverages will be served?

Answer

In addition to non-alcoholic options like water, tea, lemonade, or soda, we will have an open bar! There will be plenty of beer, wine, and a few selected mixed drinks or cocktails chosen by the bride and groom. We may have some basic liquor options as well, but don't expect a full bar-- you can always bring your own favorite drink :)

Question

Will there be a meal?

Answer

Yes! We plan on serving a dinner catered from a local restaurant (to be decided) during the reception. If you have specific dietary needs or preferences, consider bringing something for yourself to snack on, as we may have limited options.

Question

Will there be entertainment?

Answer

YES! We have booked DJ Ryon-- one of the best DJs in Reno! Come prepared to dance!!!

Question

Do you have a gift registry?

Answer

Yes, under the "Registry" tab on this site we have a gift registry with a limited number of items on it for those who wish to give physical gifts. Because this is a destination wedding for us, we strongly prefer that any gifts would be shipped to our house rather than brought to the wedding in Reno. Please also consider the following: At this stage in our lives, we already have essentially everything we need for our kitchen, linens, and housewares-- almost all of the typical items given to newlyweds for starting a home together! Because of this, we encourage guests to consider donating to one of our funds instead of buying us physical gifts. We have set up a honeymoon fund to help cover the expenses for our upcoming honeymoon vacation, as well as a home-buying fund that will go towards purchasing a larger house for us sometime in the next few years. We know this is not exactly traditional, but we see no need in throwing out our current possessions to make room for fancier ones! Links to these funds are also located under the "Registry" tab on this website.

Question

Do you have a block of rooms at a hotel?

Answer

Yes, we booked a block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn Reno. Rooms are available for $149 plus taxes & fees for July 2-5 using code KMWED, or you can visit this link to book them online: dub.sh/mkwedroom. If that shortened link doesn't work for you for some reason, try the long link: https://www.hilton.com/en/book/reservation/rooms/?ctyhocn=RNOGIGI&arrivalDate=2026-07-03&departureDate=2026-07-05&groupCode=KMWED&room1NumAdults=1&cid=OM%2CWW%2CHILTONLINK%2CEN%2CDirectLink
