Sometime during the evening on February 7th in Troy, NY (where Stephanie was a student at Russell Sage College and Adam was a student at RPI), Adam crossed the room to introduce himself to Stephanie, who had unknowingly been zoning out in his general direction all night. They bonded over a similar taste in music and shared Snapchat information to continue the lovely conversation at a later date.
Adam knew for a long time that Stephanie was the the one. Adam enlisted the help of her Maid of Honor, Ellyn, to help schedule a trip to the Portland Head Lighthouse in Portland, Maine. Stephanie thought that climbing down to the rocky shores was just for a picture. She was surprised when he got on one knee, and they both nearly died slipping in the tidal muck. But she said yes!
In case you didn't know, we eloped on October 24th, our original wedding date. We already had our wedding plans change, and we were not willing to change the start of our marriage as well. We eloped with a few close friends in the Adirondacks, where we were able to celebrate safely outdoors. We would have preferred to have kept our original wedding plans, but it was a small celebration filled with love. We are excited to share pictures with you in July!
When it was time to decide where the wedding would be, there was no hesitation. Troy is the city where we met, and the city where we fell in love. It only made sense to us that six years after we first met, it would be in this city that we would celebrate our wedding with our loved ones.
