COVID-19 & FAQs

As the world is opening up after such a hard year, we are so happy to be able to see our closest family and friends again. To ensure the safety of everyone we are requiring proof of vaccinations from all guests. Please email your vaccination cards and any booster information to SFGETSWED@gmail.com Thank you.
Question

Do I need to be vaccinated?

Answer

Yes, we are requiring vaccinations from all guests, and booster shots for those who are eligible. Please submit your proof of vaccination information by texting Stephanie or Francis, or emailing sfgetswed@gmail.com.

Question

When do I need to submit my vaccination information?

Answer

Please submit your vaccination information (and booster, if applicable) by October 15.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

Yes, the ceremony will be taking place near the Rowena Crest Viewpoint, which is an 80 minute drive from Portland city center. In addition to the big rental car companies, consider using Turo as well as there may be a considerable savings.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is black tie optional, with the wedding colours being forest green and dark blue. The average weather at Rowena Crest in Mid-November is in the low 50's with a chance of rain, so please be prepared for brisk and/or rainy weather. We also recommend close-toed shoes for the ladies for tick protection. We request you do not wear denim or shorts. Wear your normal wedding fare. For ladies, we suggest wearing close-toed shoes to protect against ticks.

Question

What should I do with all the time between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

We suggest bringing a change of clothing and taking a hike and exploring the beauty of the area, taking advantage of Oregon's tax-free shopping, or even taking a nap and relaxing. Please get dressed back into wedding gear for the reception, and be ready to enjoy!

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony with my phone?

Answer

During the ceremony we would like to hold a "unplugged wedding" so that you can be present and enjoy the sights and the moment.
