The Magnolia Mansion was built just 40 years ago as a bed and breakfast, and is now a wedding venue that will host both our ceremony and reception. The mansion is located at 6311 Courthouse Rd, Providence Forge, VA, about 20min straight east from the airport or 35min from downtown Richmond.
Yes, children are welcome, so the choice to bring your kiddos or make it an adult weekend away is entirely yours! However, out of an abundance of caution, please note that there is a non-fenced in pool in the middle of the reception area to be mindful of!
Think semi-formal garden party! Knee, tea, or full length dresses, florals, jumpsuits, light colored suits, etc. Beware thin heels due to the grass and uneven surfaces in some areas. Virginia in late spring will likely start quite warm (up to the 80s) and end quite chilly (possibly into the 50s) so we highly recommend layers. Our bridesmaids are in rosette pink and groomsmen in deep forest green.
RSVPing will be available here on the website soon! We are doing paperless RSVPs.
Our ceremony and reception are at the same venue in Providence Forge, a short drive just east of Richmond, VA. There is an abundance of on-site parking should you wish to drive (though note that it is a wooded area with limited reception). It is also possible to uber or lyft (though it is easier to do so to the venue than back from the venue). Additionally, we will be providing a 56 passenger bus from the hotel to the venue in time for the ceremony, and two trips back to the hotel mid-way through and at the end of the reception.
Outdoors! As long as the weather allows, the wedding will be both uncovered and covered at different parts of the event. In case of rain, the event will still be outside, but limited to the covered tent area.
