Sayulita is a relatively small town--you can walk end-to-end in about 20 minutes. If you know you'll be celebrating with us, we encourage you to book your lodging sooner rather than later since options might be more limited closer to the wedding date. Note: if you stay in the town square, it can get pretty noisy, especially later at night. We suggest bringing some earplugs just to make sure you can get some rest at night!

Puerto Vallarta (PVR) is the nearest international airport to Sayulita. From there, it is about a 45-60 minute drive to Sayulita.

Travel Note

Travel from PVR to Sayulita

When you exit baggage claim, you will be greeted by many salespeople from hotels and car services in the area (some even offering free alcohol samples/massages!). We suggest you avoid using these services and head straight to the taxi kiosk or your organized ride outside the exit. You can prearrange a car ride with the following company: Jose Ramos (marijoseramos@yahoo.com.mx) $140 USD roundtrip, which includes a stop at the market to buy groceries $95 USD one way from PVR to Sayulita $65 USD one way from Sayulita to PVR UBER Yes, this is a not-so-shameless plug. You can take an Uber from PVR to Sayulita. The ride is ~$30USD. Once you're in Sayulita, there aren't Uber's around, so you'll need to arrange a ride to get back to the airport.

Travel Note

Getting Around Town

Sayulita is a small town, but there are a mixed variety of streets (paved, cobbled, and plain dirt roads) and the occasional steep hill, which can make getting around a little challenging at times. But, pretty much everything is within walking distance! The most recommended option if you want some wheels is renting a golf cart once you get into town. Golf carts are easier to move around Sayulita's narrow streets and you will find more accessible parking in town!

**If you are interested in staying here, please note that they have limited date availability, so depending on how long you plan on staying, you may need to switch to another location. We recommend booking here for ease of getting to the wedding and events! It's a 5 minute (uphill) walk to Don Pedro's Palapa (the wedding venue), and a brief walk into the main area of town. It’s also where the bride and groom are staying :) We have a limited room block available, which is first come first serve. Please contact Villa Amor at reservations@villaamor.com to find out which rooms are available (and pay attention to the # of stairs in the description!). Villa Amor is an inspired collection of beachfront villas; each uniquely designed and individually decorated a wonderful fusion of creativity and old world charm. Most of the villas boast stunning views of the ocean and coastline, lush greenery of rolling hills, surf, and the fishing village down the road.

Amor Boutique Hotel

S/N Pescadores
Sayulita, Nay. 63734, Mexico

This hotel is located right next to Villa Amor, so it's another good option for a place near the venue and town. This upscale boutique hotel is the closest you’ll find to a luxury resort in Sayulita. Each suite was built to accommodate the natural surroundings, so all are a little different. Its most popular is their Villa Arboles, a three-bedroom, private pool suite, built around two large trees, growing up out of the floor and through the palapa roof. Most suites are one- to three-bedrooms (the largest villa has seven) with full kitchens or kitchenettes. The hotel is built into the side of a hill in the South End, overlooking the cove and main beach with a pool and restaurant shared with its sister property Villa Amor. Many of the suites are on higher floors with stunning views but no elevator. Request a ground room floor, if mobility is limited.
