What are the covid travel requirements?
Answer
Air travel to and from Mexico requires completion of a simple questionnaire at Vuelaseguro.com. You’ll create a profile and get a QR code completing the form within twelve hours of your flights in & out. Return to the US: Please check the CDC website to make sure to follow all requirements. As of right now, air passengers, regardless of vaccination status, must show a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 1 day before travel to the United States. There is a walk-in site in central Sayulita (St. Luke’s) to complete the test for about $25USD, with antigen test results in one hour. If you prefer to have a scheduled appointment, you can book one via the Sayulita Covid Testing Center website: https://www.sayulitalife.com/covid-testing-center (at a higher rate).

How do I get to Sayulita from PVR Airport?

You can prearrange a car ride with the following company: Jose Ramos (marijoseramos@yahoo.com.mx) $140 USD roundtrip, which includes beer and water for the ride and a stop at the market to buy groceries $95 USD one way from PVR to Sayulita $65 USD one way from Sayulita to PVR UBER Yes, this is a not-so-shameless plug. You can take an Uber from PVR to Sayulita. The ride is ~$30USD. Once you're in Sayulita, there aren't Uber's around, so you'll need to arrange a ride to get back to the airport.

Do I need a rental car?
Answer
You will not need a car once in Sayulita. Parking around the downtown area is difficult, so if you'd like some wheels, we'd suggest renting a golf cart once you get into Sayulita. But if you are renting a house, it will likely include parking which will make things easier if you decide to get a rental. What is the water situation?
Answer
Do not drink the tap water! Only drink bottled water and only use bottled water to brush your teeth. Most rental homes/condos can provide bottled water for your stay. The restaurants and bars in Sayulita use purified water for drinking, washing produce, and the ice is made from purified water as well, so you don't need to be nervous about the ice in your drinks.
