Travel Note
To reach our venue, you'll need to catch a ferry, which you can walk or drive onto. It's a quintessential NW Washington experience, and takes about 40 minutes from downtown Seattle. Please note that ferry schedules in the summer can be unpredictable and crowded. If driving on, we recommend getting to the ferry terminal **at least** an hour before the ferry you want to catch, but be prepared to wait in the event of delays or capacity issues. Once you're on board, you'll be delighted by a galley with snacks and bevies (even the adult kind -- Tim would measure this as a 2 beer trip). As the ferry departs the terminal, you'll enjoy the postcard view of the iconic Seattle skyline. Make sure to take lots of pics for the mems!
Travel Note
Please note that Bainbridge Island is fairly remote and ride shares/cabs are not readily available and tend to be very expensive. We recommend carpooling as much as possible with a designated driver from your party.
Travel Note
Lodging in the greater Seattle area is in high-demand in the summer and can get expensive quickly. We recommend collaborating with friends or family on AirBnB/VRBO if needed. We've reserved blocks at The Marshall Suites and The Quality Inn (recently renovated) which are both on the island near downtown Bainbridge. If you decide to stay in the city instead of on the island, please note you'll need to plan a return ferry trip accordingly. Additionally, the town of Silverdale, located on the same side of the sound, has more commercial hotel options, and is about a 35 min drive from our venue. If exploring this route, please consider that ride shares are rare in these rural areas, and it would be best to have your own mode of transportation to and from.
