Things To Do

Easy Street Records & Cafe

4559 California Avenue Southwest, Seattle, WA 98116

Best place in the city to dig for records and absorb Seattle's iconic music history! Located in the heart of Matt & Steph's neighborhood, West Seattle.

Marination Ma Kai

Marination Ma Kai

1660 Harbor Avenue Southwest, Seattle, WA 98126

From the downtown ferry terminal, you can take the water taxi to West Seattle (https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/metro/travel-options/water-taxi/west-seattle), which is our neck of the woods. Marination is Hawaiian-casual restaurant with an iconic patio, located at the pier where the water taxi lands. Our personal go-to is the Sexy Tofu Tacos (asked to veganize). Even if you're not hungry it's also a great place to enjoy a beverage and take in the sights. If you're feeling adventurous you can rent kayaks here as well. There is also a green belt that heads north to infamous Alki Beach (about 1.5 mile walk oneway).

Olympia Coffee Roasting

3840 California Avenue Southwest, Seattle, WA 98116

Seattle is known for coffee. But please, skip the Starbucks and support small businesses. Olympia is by far the best. There are a few shops around the city and we are lucky enough to have one in West Seattle. Matt's go to is the Trifecta with the Sweetheart single origin espresso. It comes with a shot of espresso, a soda back, a cortado (with oatmilk, duh) and a small drip coffee. They also have delicious vegan and gluten free pastries from Wildflour Bakery (https://www.wildflourglutenfree.com/).

Dough Joy

Dough Joy

4310 Southwest Oregon Street, Seattle, WA 98116

Vegan Donuts. These things rule. Our favorites are the Everything but the Bagel and the Pride (it's sparkly, guess which of us goes for this one?) They also serve good espresso drinks that come with a cinnamon sugar donut hole on top.

Space Needle

Space Needle

400 Broad Street, Seattle, WA 98109

Out of all the touristy things to do in the city, the view from the Space Needle is epic, especially around twilight. The views of the glowing skyline and shimmering water as the sun melts over the Olympics are breathtaking. You can book tickets ahead online or just walk up and purchase from the kiosks at the base of the Space Needle.

Ba Sa Restaurant (Bainbridge)

101 Winslow Way East, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110

Our favorite Vietnamese fusion in the greater Seattle area. 10/10.

Bainbridge Brewing Alehouse

500 Winslow Way East, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110

A rad pitstop for a cold one just beyond the ferry terminal.

Seabird (Bainbridge)

133 Winslow Way East, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110

Confirmed fantastic cocktails with supposedly equally-fantastic seafood on the island.

Bruciato

236 Winslow Way East, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110

Delish Neapolitan-style pizza in downtown Bainbridge

Emmy's Vege House

100 Winslow Way West, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110

Globally inspired vegetarian & vegan dishes are the draw at this casual spot with outdoor tables.

Strawberry Hill Skatepark Bowl (Bainbridge)

Strawberry Hill Skatepark Bowl (Bainbridge)

7666 High School Road Northeast, Bainbridge Island, WA 98110

We unfortunately have not been on a date to the skatepark on Bainbridge Island, but we'd be a lot cooler if we did. The bowl is massive with pool coping around the entire thing. Get some.
