In a galaxy far far away, on planet Hinge, Alberto and Stephanie met their match! Three years ago Stephanie was singing "Make It To Me" by Sam Smith in her bedroom, while Beto used the Force to hear her message from Sacramento and moved back home to Anaheim. It was then that we both found each other and swiped right. Beto knew how to get my attention and the way to my heart...he asked me about Marvel movies! After a couple weeks of texting and phone calls, we had our first date at Steelcraft in Bellflower. We talked and laughed until we lost track of time. It was as we've always known each other, and I was definitely a sucker for Beto's "dad jokes." (Guess who kissed who first?) That same night, I had noticed an art display on the wall that said, "Where you invest your love, you invest your life," and that was the moment when I knew things were aligning beautifully for the both of us. #StephFoundABetoHalf. A month later, we went out on a date to grab dessert. As we drove by Golf n' Stuff, I jokingly said "I bet I can beat you." This is where I found out just how competitive we can be, because Beto immediately made a U-Turn, and we played a round of mini-golf (Beto was also slowly introducing me to his love for golf). It was another night of laughter, sharing stories, and enjoying every minute we spent together. Yes, Beto did beat me...but the end of the night ended up feeling like a win to me. As he was dropping me off at my parents' home, he asked if I could look over his resume for a "potential job." HR Steph was more than happy to help, but as I read the resume, I knew what job he was applying for - My Boyfriend. On May 18, 2021, Beto romantically asked me to be his girlfriend and the rest is history. In our 3 years of dating, we moved in together, bought a home together, traveled to 4 states, 2 countries, and have made countless memories, many alongside our wonderful family and friends (that's you!). Together, we've discovered that the best adventures are the ones we create with each other, and we feel so grateful for our partnership.
