What Is The Attire For The Friday Night Party?
Answer
Dressy casual is great! Something more polished than everyday casual but less formal than business casual or cocktail attire. Think of it as a "step up" from casual wear without being overly formal. Women Ideas: Longer dresses, cocktail dresses, sun dresses. Pashmina shawls or other light coverings are recommended for cooler temperatures in the evening. Men Ides: Dress shirts, button-downs, and Polo style shirts, with slacks. Jackets may be good for cooler temperatures in the evening.

What's The Attire For The Wedding?

Formal Attire Requested – We would love for all of us to be dressed up together! Think polished and elegant — more elevated than everyday or cocktail wear, but not as formal as black tie. Women: Long dresses, dressy jumpsuits, or chic separates are all appropriate. Shawls or light wraps are recommended for cooler evenings. Men: A dark suit or a jacket and dress pants with a dress shirt is recommended.

What’s the weather like in late July?

Late July in Rancho Palos Verdes is typically warm and pleasant. Average daytime highs are around 76°F (24°C), with evening lows near 65°F (18°C). Skies are generally clear or mostly sunny, and rain is rare during this time. Evenings can be cooler (can feel very cold!), especially near the coast, so we recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap to stay comfortable.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and/or reception will be primarily outdoors (with the exception of dancing). We suggest bringing a light wrap or jacket in case it gets chilly in the evening. Some events will be on the grass, so you may want to bring flats or wedges if you are not comfortable in heels.

Flying into LAX and Transportation Details:

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the nearest major airport. After landing, rideshares like Uber and Lyft, as well as taxis, pick up passengers at LAX-it — a dedicated lot outside the terminals. Free shuttles run every 5–10 minutes from all terminals to LAX-it. If you are in Terminal 1 (Southwest) or Terminal 7 (United) you can quickly walk to LAX-it, though we suggest taking the shuttle if you are at a farther terminal.* If you're renting a car, rental agencies are located at the LAX Consolidated Rent-A-Car Facility, accessible via a free shuttle from the airport. We recommend booking your rental car in advance for the best availability. At Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), Uber Black and Uber Black SUV pickups occur directly at the terminal. Specifically, these premium services pick up passengers at the outer island curb on the Arrivals level (lower level) of each terminal. You can also touch base with Terranea Resort to arrange a car as well. *If you are able, we suggest flying in/out of Terminal 1 or 7, as you can avoid sometimes extensive traffic going in and out of the airport.

Driving from LAX to Terranea Resort
Answer
With typical traffic, there are usually two options to get to Terranea from LAX: 1) take CA-1 south to Rancho Palos Verdes Blvd and 2) Take 405S to 110S to Palos Verdes Drive. Baring any major traffic, we advise that you take CA-1, though it may take about 10 minutes longer. The drive on CA-1 is beautiful along the coast, and more importantly, you avoid major road construction on Palos Verdes Drive.
