Forsyth Park is always our first walking destination (once we've stopped at our favorite bar for a roadie!). It is a 30-acre gem in Savannah, a famous landmark in the city, where we visit both day and night to enjoy its beauty. With lush greenery, the stunning Forsyth Fountain, and moss-draped oaks, the park is a can't miss attraction.
The Old Pink House in Savannah, built in 1771, is a historic landmark with a distinctive pink exterior. While some may think its fame makes it a tourist trap, it’s definitely not! The food is exceptional, and the service is among the best we’ve ever had. The building’s charm and history make it a must-visit spot in the city, and the waiters often share ghost stories about the building, recounting supernatural occurrences reported over the years. * HIGHLY recommend making reservations well beforehand!
The Georgia Tasting Room is our first stop for a sip of delicious peach moonshine. This spot features 15 locally rotating beers, various wines for tasting, and a wide selection of moonshines. One of the highlights is their flavored moonshine smoothies, perfect for taking on the go!
Mint to Be Mojito Bar and Bites is located in the heart of downtown Savannah, Georgia. Offering the largest selection of mojito flavors we've ever seen! Check this place out at night for a *secret* speakeasy bar that can't be seen by day.
Do not let this informal interior fool you! This "fast-casual" restaurant is one of our go-to spots and offers one of Savannah's signature dishes: Low Country Boil.
Leopold's Ice Cream in Savannah, GA, is a beloved local spot known for its old-fashioned charm and delicious ice cream. Serving up classic flavors in a retro-style soda fountain, it’s the perfect spot for a sweet treat.
We went here based on a local's recommendation and WOW are we glad we took their advice! It features highly acclaimed fried chicken and fresh seafood from the Lowcountry coast, emphasizing oysters with several preparations. We tried (and are still dreaming about): Whole Chicken Dinner and the Grilled Oysters. Lauren also wants you to notice the amazingness of the bathroom wallpaper. A+
If you are looking to get out of the old city for a great meal and ambience, check out The Wyld. It is a relaxed, waterside hangout for New American fare with a seafood focus, plus cocktails, bocce & a fire pit.
