Brittany and Maloree are big fans of both Football and Twitter. Brittany is a Die Hard Eagles fan, and Maloree loves her Saints. They share the same values, humor, and aspirations, and if you look at their twitter feeds side by side, you wouldn't be able to tell who tweeted what because of how similar they are/their content is. That is what their mutual friend, Brooke Ashley, noticed. One day during the 2018 football season, Brooke, who used to work with Maloree (and knew Brittany through Kings twitter/events), messaged Maloree asking if she knew who Brittany (bstegz) was. She suggested that we tweeted very similarly and that we should get to know each other. A few days later, on November 7th, Maloree decided to message Brittany (smart to message her while the eagles were on their bye week.) They both instantly felt a connection, and were excited to see where things would go.

Brittany and Maloree talked for about a month before they decided to actually meet up. Despite watching the Eagles lose to the Saints 47-8 and having to hear playful smack talk from Maloree, Brittany was still interested, and still wanted to take Maloree on a first date. They both love Ice Cream and decided to meet up at Parlor Ice Cream Puffs in Roseville on Saturday, December 1st. They both showed up at the same time, which was 30 minutes early. They ordered their ice cream, sat down, and just talked about anything and everything for 3 1/2 hours. They enjoyed each others company so much that they didn't even wait 12 hours to go on Date #2, which was brunch at Cafeteria 15L Sunday December 2nd (the Eagles had a Monday night game and it was the Saints bye week, so it worked out perfectly :P)

For the next 2 weeks, Brittany and Maloree continued to go on dates, hang out, and just enjoy each others company. They finally sat down together and watched their favorite teams play football on December 9th. Brittany has a hard time watching Eagles games with other people in the room, and this was even crazier because they happened to be playing the Cowboys. When she saw that Maloree still liked her after sitting through a full Eagles vs Cowboys game WITH OVERTIME...That resulted in an Eagles LOSS, she knew she had to ask her to be her girlfriend. Brittany decided to ask Maloree to be her girlfriend on December 12th. Maloree and Brittany both love to do artsy things, but one of Maloree's favorite stress relievers and hobbies is to simply color. Brittany wanted the moment to be special for her, so she custom made 4 pieces of paper for them to color together. The first one said "Will", the second one said "you be", the third one said "my" and the fourth one was a heart that was blank. When they finally finished coloring the pictures, Brittany put them all together in order, and wrote in "girlfriend" on the last page, spelling out "Will you be my girlfrend." Maloree was so happy and surprised, she thought they were just coloring for fun! She obviously said yes.

What do lesbians bring on a second date?...a Uhaul. Just kidding (but not really.) It is a running joke/stereotype that lesbians move fast when they are in a relationship. Maloree and Brittany definitely lived up to the hype when it comes to that. They spent new years together, and as couples do, they shared a new years kiss. Right after, Maloree told Brittany she was in love with her, and Brittany reciprocated. Brittany wanted to tell Maloree but wanted to make sure she was on the same page before she said it, and it looks like she definitely was considering she told her she loved her first! About a month after that, Brittany and Maloree officially moved in together. They didn't bring a Uhaul to the second date, but they didn't waste much time either :)

In this generation, it's very hard to find someone you can trust, who is honest, & someone who genuinely cares about you. Many people treat the dating world as a dispensable market. One mistake, & it's on to the next for most people. These dating apps/Social media gives people the idea that there is always something/someone better & no one seems interested to genuinely build something with someone. No matter what happens, Brittany & Maloree know that they will be there for each other. They don't play games with each other, they love each other unconditionally & prove it to each other daily. They knew that they wanted to be in each others lives for a long time very early in their relationship, & due to these reasons & their development within the relationship, Brittany didn't see a point in waiting any longer. "When you know, you know." Brittany always wanted to propose on the beach, & Maloree wanted the proposal to be on a beach as well. It worked out to where they were in Santa Cruz for the week of the 4th, & if the opportunity presented itself, Brittany was going to propose. On July 3rd, Brittany & Maloree went to the Boardwalk. When they went to the bathroom, Brittany noticed a photographer taking random pics & asked if he would capture the moment of her proposing. He was excited, & slyly followed Brittany & Maloree out to the beach so Maloree wouldn't notice. Brittany told Maloree she wanted to have lunch on the beach at some point during the trip, so as they were walking she suggested they go to the beach and have lunch now. They set up in an empty spot in front of the lifeguards. The lifeguards asked them to move but then noticed what Brittany was doing when she pointed to the ring in her pocket. They laid the beach blanket down, & as soon as Brittany saw that the photographer was ready, she got down on one knee and proposed! Maloree was so surprised. She said "You're doing this now?!", started to cry, said YES, & kissed Brittany. The rest is history...

Although Brittany proposed, Maloree also wanted to propose back to Brittany to make sure she had the experience of a special proposal as well. Brittany was coaching a basketball tournament, and after the game she walked out to a rose pedal path that lead to malorees car and a surprise from maloree in the parking lot. She decorated her car, made a sign, got all dolled up and proposed back in front of Brittany's parents (Maloree made sure they were there since they missed the first proposal) and the basketball team Brittany coached. She also proposed on 2/22/2020, Brittany's original date she was thinking of proposing on, and her family's lucky day/number.
