This hill became famous in the 1929 World Fair and then again during the 1992 Summer Olympics. Take a hike up from Plaça d’Espanya or Take the cable car up to Montjuïc for some nice views. You can visit the castle at the top, or the Joan Miró museum. If you feel like it, you can walk down through the botanical gardens and pass by the Olympic village. If time permits, make sure to stop at the Poble Espanyol, an open-air museum about Spanish culture, arranged like a village.
Looking for an outdoor activity? We highly recommend a hike on Montserrat! Montserrat is a spectacularly beautiful Benedictine monk mountain retreat about one hour North West from Barcelona by train. Please bear in mind, a lot of these hikes are quite difficult, so make sure you plan accordingly - the views are totally worth it though!!
