To get from the airport to the city centre you can choose to take a train, Uber or taxi. If you choose to take the train, you can take line R2 from the airport to Sants (major station in the city centre). To get to the hotel, you can change at Sants station and take the R1 in direction of Maçanet - Massanes. For Hotel URH, get off at Mataró station. From there it is a 11 minute walk (if you wish to take a taxi, we recommend ordering it in advance, see Travel Note on Taxi Information below!)
While Ubers are available in central Barcelona, they are not available in the areas between the recommended hotels and the venue. We therefore recommend that you download the Cabify App to order taxis for transportation other than the shuttles provided between the recommended hotel and venue.
This is our most-asked question, and the simple answer is: Why not?! Given our international backgrounds, our friends and family are spread out over literally all continents. Antarctica is, as far as we know the only exception to that. So when you are in a transatlantic relationship with friends and family scattered across the globe - how do you choose a location? We chose Europe as a central region, Spain for the weather and food, and Barcelona because it combines our love of colour and eclectic with stunning scenery, rich culture and that Mediterranean flair!
Your presence on our special days will make us incredibly happy, and we know that each and every one of you will be going through a lot of planning and travelling to do so. That is all the gift we need! Should you really want to give us more, we have published our registry to which you can contribute. *Please do not bring physical gifts to Barcelona! Both your and our suitcases will already be full ;-)*
Yes! There will be a babysitting service provided at the venue after the ceremonies during dinners and party time!
There are many events to consider in this fusion wedding! You will need: - 1 festive outfit for the White Wedding on October 13th - 1 colourful outfit for the Mehndi on October 14th - 1 festive outfit for the Indian Wedding ceremony on October 14th - 1 casual outfit for the Brunch on October 15th More details on the dress codes can be found on the invites & on the ‘schedule of events’ section of this website! And don't forget to bring your bathing suits, as the hotels have pools, there are beaches nearby, and the weather might still be warm enough for a quick dip before the festivities!
We highly recommend staying at the hotels where we have the room blocks, as we will be providing transportation between these and the wedding venue on the wedding days, and so you can immerse yourself in the wedding spirit! If you prefer to choose your own hotel, there are a number of other hotels you can book in the city of Mataró or Vilassar de Mar. Some options include: - Hotel Arrey Alella - Hotel Atanea Port - Hotel New Colón There are also a number of Airbnbs in the surrounding area. We do not recommend staying in the city centre of Barcelona, as this is quite far from the venue. However, if you do wish to stay in Barcelona before or after the wedding days, we highly recommend that you stay inside Barcelona's city centre!
You can choose to extend your stay from October 12th until October 17th with the same discount. Should you wish to stay longer (at the same hotel or another hotel in Barcelona), we recommend you book this soon, as rooms fill up quickly in and around Barcelona!
