Are children allowed? (Se permiten niños?)

Answer

The wedding will be by invitation only and 18 and over. We love your little ones, however we ask that you use this as parents weekend away. Let loose & celebrate kid-free! If you have questions please reach out to us. (La boda será sólo por invitación y para mayores de 18 años. Amamos a sus pequeños, sin embargo, le pedimos que use esto como fin de semana para adultos. ¡Déjate llevar y celebra sin niños! Si tienen preguntas, comuníquese con nosotros)

When should we arrive? (Cuándo deberíamos llegar?)

Answer

The ceremony will take place on a Sunday, however to the make the most of your trip and attend all the festivities we will suggest for our guests to arrive by Thursday evening specially if you plan to attend the catamaran. (La ceremonia se llevará a cabo un domingo, sin embargo, para aprovechar al máximo su viaje y asistir a todas las festividades, sugerimos a nuestros invitados que lleguen el jueves por la noche, especialmente si planean asistir el dia en bote.)

What is the weather in Cartagena ? (Cuál es el clima en Cartagena?)

Cartagena’s weather is hot year round. March is typically a little more windy, during the day it gets up to 88° and at night it drops to a low of 75°. (El clima de Cartagena es caluroso durante todo el año. Marzo suele ser un poco más ventoso, durante el día la temperatura alcanza los 88° y por la noche desciende a una mínima de 75°)

What type of clothing to pack? (Qué tipo de ropa empacar?)

Answer

Cartagena is HOT!!! Not all places have air conditioner. Bring breathable clothes, light colors, beach wear. If you plan exploring the old city/town bring good walking shoes/comfortable sandals!!! Do not bring jeans or heavy clothes. And of course bring a good attitude and be ready to party !!!! (¡¡¡Cartagena está CALIENTE!!! No todos los lugares tienen aire acondicionado. Lleva ropa transpirable, colores claros, ropa de playa. Si planeas explorar la ciudad/pueblo antiguo, ¡llévate buenos zapatos para caminar/sandalias cómodas! No traigas jeans ni ropa pesada. Y por supuesto trae buena actitud y prepárate para rumbear!!!!)

What is the currency in Colombia? (Cuál es la moneda en Colombia?)

Answer

Currency is the Colombian Peso (COP). The current exchange rate is about 3,800 COP to 4,000 COP to 1 USD. Almost all stores and restaurants within the walled city of Cartagena will accept credit card, but street vendors and taxis will only accept cash. (La moneda es el peso colombiano (COP). El tipo de cambio actual es de unos 3.800 COP a 4.000 COP por 1 USD. Casi todas las tiendas y restaurantes dentro de la ciudad amurallada de Cartagena aceptarán tarjetas de crédito, pero los vendedores ambulantes y los taxis sólo aceptarán efectivo)

What is the best method of transportation? (Cuál es el mejor método de transporte?)

Answer

Rafael Nuñez International Airport (CTG) is only 10-15 minutes by car to the old city. When you exit the airport there will be a a lot of taxi services. The taxi should be less than $10 USD. Re-confirm the price with the driver before getting into the taxi. It is overall safe however we do recommend to practice caution. You can also use UBER in Cartagena. We do not recommend renting a car. Everything will be easily walkable and there is not accessible parking within the walls. (El Aeropuerto Internacional Rafael Núñez (CTG) está a sólo 10-15 minutos en carro a la cuidad amurallada. Al salir del aeropuerto habrá muchos servicios de taxi. El taxi debería costar menos de $10 USD. Vuelva a confirmar el precio con el conductor antes de subir al taxi. En general es seguro, aunque recomendamos tener precaución. También puedes utilizar UBER en Cartagena. No recomendamos alquilar carro. Todo será fácilmente transitable y el estacionamiento no es facil adentro de las murallas )

Is Cartagena safe ? (Es seguro en Cartagena?)

Answer

The city is full of tourism and is overall safe, especially within the walls. With that said, practice cautions. Don't walk around alone and be always aware of your valuables. Like we say in Colombia: "NO DEN PAPAYA" (La ciudad está llena de turismo y en general es segura, especialmente dentro de las murallas. Dicho esto, tenga cuidado. No andes solo y mantente siempre atento a tus objetos de valor. Como decimos en Colombia: "NO DEN PAPAYA" )
