Hamman Day and Moroccan Dress Adventure

For anyone who wants to join, we will be doing a hamman day and Moroccan wedding dress adventure in the Marrakech medina. We will start at a traditional Moroccan hamman with spa treatments and massages. For any guests who want to wear a traditional wedding dress, we will be looking at shops where rentals are available. Cost for rentals should be $20 to $40 depending on dress.

Wedding Celebration

Semi-Formal: Tuxes and gowns are welcome, and so are suits and cocktail dresses. For women, if you would like to rent a Moroccan dress for the wedding, we will be looking at shops on Sunday (see event description above). We recommend everyone brings a dress to wear in case you are unable to find a Moroccan dress.

There is limited parking at the venue. If you need a ride to the wedding, please let us know how many need transportation and where we can arrange the driver to meet you. The weather during the day should be 80s but will cool off at night so make sure to bring layers. Alcohol will not be served at the wedding and we ask you respect traditional rules about Moroccan weddings and not bring alcohol to this celebration. Food served will be traditional Moroccan with vegetarian options.

Essaouria Getaway

After the wedding celebration, we will be heading to the beautiful seaside town of Essaouria, about 2 and a half hours away. This is a very nice place to chill after the busyness of Marrakech. We will be staying here 2-3 nights before returning to Marrakech but it is up to you how long you want to stay. We will be staying in the above riad but you are welcome to stay at the hotel or riad of your choice. The medina in Essaouria is small so even if you stay in a different place, we will be close to meet up. We will arrange events as the date gets closer. You can book your hotel here ahead of time or wait and book once you are there (there shouldn't be a problem booking close to the date but you may not get as many choices for hotels). We will help with transportation as this gets closer. If we are unable to arrange a car for you, you can take a bus from Marrakech which starts from the train station. Please let us know if you need assistance with this.
