Pisa/Firenze Aeroporto

We recommend you fly into Pisa Aeropuerto for the greatest convenience. Firenze is also nearby, and can be navigated from using the local railway. You will want to pick up your car in either Pisa or Firenze.

Rental Car

Car Rental - Pisa/Firenze

Coming from Pisa/Firenze: Both Aeroporto Firenze and Aeroporto Galileo Galilei in Pisa provide a multitude of rental car options. Be sure to book your ride well in advance and keep it petite! The venue is a little remote and parking is limited, so expect to rely heavily on your personal vehicle. We suggest you buddy-up and split your rental cars where you can!

Train

Regional Train towards Lucca

If you're coming from Pisa: Take the Pisa Mover Shuttle to the Pisa Norte regional train station to make this connection. Be sure you made plans for your pick up! If you're coming from Firenze: From Aeroporto Firenze, take the T2 tram towards Unita until you reach Alamanni - Stazione Santa Maria Novella. From here it is a short walk to the Firenze Santa Maria Novella railway station, where you can make your connection to Lucca.

Train

Regional Train From Lucca

Finally, take the regional train towards Minucciano-Pieve-Casola to Fosciandora Ceserana. Be sure to have coordinated a pick up at the bottom of the mountain!

Casa Peggi

Home away from home for the Walter family during their stay. Our lovely friend Mick has offered to house the Walter/Bigda family in his home, Casa Peggi, about a mile away from the Denny residence in Riana. Equipped with an in-ground pool, private terraces, fruit and olive trees, and breathtaking views, this dream of a property is available to the Walter family from October 13th until October 17th, 2022.

Casa Costola

We have rented a beautifully restored monastery in the nearby village of Ceserana as the main location for our event. The villa has been booked from October 13th to 17th, 2022, and will house the wedding party and a few close friends. Situated on the ‘sunny side’ of the Garfagnana valley within the commune of Fosciandora, Casa Costola is a 10 minute drive to the local town of Castelnuovo which has all facilities – shops, bars, restaurants, train station, and the famous Thursday morning market. Barga, a beautiful medieval cobble stoned town is a 15 minute drive. The major cities of Lucca (1 hour), Pisa (90 min) and Florence (1 hour and 20 min) are perfect for a day trip! There will be a ceremony and reception dinner held here on October 14th, 2022.
