Best option is to fly into Edinburgh (EDI). Airport. You can easily travel to our venue by train or rental car. Rental car location is outside the airport down a well marked walkway. There are buses which can take you to the trains or taxis for hire. If you rent a car remember there will be an upcharge for an automatic (they love their manual vehicles). If you rent an electric vehicle be aware charging ports are not often available in the rural areas. Also remember in the UK it's left hand driving. Which means your manual shift will be with your left hand...but the clutch is still on your left. You may want to spend the extra $$ for insurance. (it came in very handy during our last trip) As the agency may place a hold for the "total cost of the car" when renting. You do not need to coordinate lodging from 27 June through 30 June, that will be taken care of by us. If you add travel, please book outside this window.

Travel Note

Travel Note

Navigation

The UK uses post codes in "Sat Nav." This will be a 6-7 digit alpha numeric code which gets you to the general area (usually within 500 meters) of your destination.

Flight

Edinburgh Airport

The main airport in Scotland. You can rent a car and drive to our venue or take the train.

Flight

Inverness Airport

Closer to our venue, but usually with a bit higher price.

Train

ScotRail

For those traveling by train. The station is a 5 minute drive to our venue. You can catch a cab or let us know in advance and we will coordinate a shuttle to the hotel for you.

Travel Note

Ferry to Ireland

From the town of Stranraer to Belfast this ferry takes about 4 hours. It is about $300/car but cheaper than flying and renting a separate car in Ireland.

Travel Note

WiFi

The rental car company may encourage you to purchase a hotspot to have wifi on your trip. Remember, the different countries of the UK have separate networks, so once you cross the border, your wifi will not work.
