A few Boise/Idaho Travel Notes:
Hotels by the airport: cheaper, but not very scenic. Close enough to downtown and the airport to use Uber/Lyft.
Hotels downtown: very walkable downtown area with plenty of food, shopping, and things to do. You may spend a bit more on hotel costs, but I think it's worth it.
AIRBNB/VRBO: also wonderful options that I've personally used
While you could totally visit Boise and use Uber/Lyft, etc without any problem, we do recommend renting a car. You won't regret it. There's so much beauty to see in such close proximity. We'll make some recommendations below.
