Sand volleyball doubles - Because Liz tore her ACL, Jenni played with Justin in the summer doubles leagues at Oasis. Jenni and Joe met each other across the net in the first match outside, and they haven’t been able to put their book down since.

Jenni jumped off of a roof into a pool, including a cheer stunt with Connor and Joe that resulted in a particularly bloody knee but a successful jump. They talked until morning, salsa danced in the bar, and there were shenanigans all around.

As dreamed up on an early adventure over a happy hour half priced bottle of wine and held up by Joe on their first date, they plan dates on their own and only tell the other one what shoes to wear. Joe graciously reports if Jenni should bring a jacket or long pants as well. The rest is a surprise.

Joe planned it and took her to the Keg Steakhouse followed by Film on the Rocks (Jenni’s first) for the Big Lebowski (also a Jenni first). Both restaurant and movie are still favorites today. After the movie and like the Star he is, Joe supplied a speaker and wine to wait out Red Rocks traffic. They stargazed, sang, danced, shared a glass of wine, and talked to 1,000 strangers who thought we had it figured out. There were at least three “you guys are perfect for each other” comments. The stars, the wine, the music, and the pair were a match.

The love between friends is a powerful force. Andrew and Lena had a beautiful wedding with a great bar. The Double Down: “Wear stylish heels and dressed up jeans” Back to the Keg Steakhouse with roses already on the table by the fireplace, Joe had a beautiful speech, arranged for a ring pop, and friends to video. There were jokes to calm nerves, lots of giggling, and celebration afterward.
