We're doin' stuff

Patrick was just beginning his MS GIS program in Redlands, CA, while Megan was within her first year of working for Esri. While on Esri campus for an event, they ran into each other at the lunch Cafe. Patrick said to himself, "That can't be Megan Starr, she's more beautiful than when I met her back in college. Sure, she's way out of my league but just say 'Hi' and stop blushing..." Megan said to herself, "Hawt dang, who's that good-lookin' stud muffin?". With her beautiful smile and brilliant charm, she not only initiated the conversation, but also asked Patrick for HIS number. The rest, is as they say, history... TLDR (short for Too Long, Didn't Read): Re-met at Esri Cafe. Thought each other were "super fine". Megan asked Pat for his digits. Now... we're doin' wedding stuff.

Patrick had this planned out for a few months. Many people on both sides knew this was coming. Patrick and Megan planned a trip up to Portland for an extended week to see family and friends. They saw a Blazer game a few nights before, reminisced old stories with favorite friends, then headed off to the beach with a selected group of partners in crime. Once arriving to the beach, they set up shop at Pat's future Best Man's beach-house. They then went to a local brewery and all had a clam-chowder meal while the 40+ mph winds on the beach were a-blowing. With the mention of "We have to say 'hi' to the beach...", everyone was on board. While traversing through the treacherous winds and sand, Patrick mustered up the courage. He asked two simple questions. 1) Are you having a good time? (Yes). 2) Are you sure you still 'like' me? (Yes). That's all he needed to pop the question! We 95% believe that Megan actually said "Yes" but the tackling of Patrick into the wet sand drowned out the noise. Celebrations were had, and a group-hug of Megan's (assumed) answer was celebrated!

Both Megan and Patrick are employed with Esri (Environmental Systems Research Institute) based in Redlands, CA. Megan operates as a Human Resources Business Partner while Patrick is a Technical Account Manager. Together, We have two high-maintenance (yet low energy) dogs, Peanut and Leila, who have been anxiously awaiting their "save-the-date" cards. We love our lives together which makes life that much easier. We're excited to have you join us for our special day and we're looking forwarding to spending time with you.
