We're getting married!

We start our story on an app that was all the buzz for couples to meet. Colin venturing up north, looking for a partner to take him out of the desert; and Heather swiping left until she found someone she could look up to. One rainy February eve in 2023, it was kismet that they both came up upon each other’s feed. Long text messages turned into long phone calls; turned into weekend getaways as our two intrepid heroes got to know each other. Heather swooning over the love and empathy Colin showed his students, and Colin falling for Heather’s love of the outdoors and drive for adventure. Time passed and they gently fell in love with each other. In the summer of 2024, Colin left his hometown of Bakersfield for the delta breeze in Sacramento. Together Colin and Heather made a duplex their home, and Colin became a dad to the aloof Miss Kitty. Heather learned that Colin thinks flip flops are an all-season, all-terrain shoe, and Colin learned that Heather talks in her sleep. During the following summer while on adventure in Scotland, Colin bent the knee in front of some Giant Sequoias and Heather said YES!!! Soon after, they followed the Viking tradition of getting cats when married and adopted two more. Looking to the future: Heather and Colin are excited for close friends and family to celebrate their union under some California redwoods. And the story continues…
