Macy involuntarily came into Sydney's life when their parents decided to expand the family (and another dog wasn't on the table). Macy and Sydney have had the traditional ups and downs of being sisters but have grown as close as two can get. The two were able to occasionally visit each other at college and Covid gave them another year to live together until Sydney moved to Milwaukee for grad school. Having enjoyed being under the same roof again, Macy moved to Milwaukee to live another two years with Sydney. Although the two no longer live together, Sydney still forces Macy to drive across town to spend their days off together. Jeff and Logan met 25 years ago. Logan, a tiny little infant and Jeff your typical teenage boy. Despite the age the two became very close brothers, over the years you can find them grinding away in the gym, driving fast cars, playing one on one basketball till one of them taps out or barking at each other like normal brothers. Claire and Sydney have been inseparable from the day they met at The University of Minnesota - Morris preparing for admission their senior year. Their meet cute begins on a cold day with Claire bravely wearing some heels and Sydney bravely striking up conversation with strangers (what's new). Their friendship was solidified when both Sydney and Claire's mothers made quick friends independently on the same day. Fate so had it that Sydney and Claire would plan to be freshman roommates going in to college not knowing that a lifelong sisterhood had began. Trial and error is the name of the game for Adam and Logan's friendship. It took these two three different incursions to cement their friendship. From first meeting at big blue football camp, to an overnight trip for safety patrol, and lastly having a summer long dispute over minecraft during the summer entering the 7th grade. After that, the boys realized that they shared a deep love for sports but primarily football. They can truly go on for hours simply naming former athletes. Montana and Sydney's journey together began with Claire and Montana swimming together at Morris. Sydney quickly became the two's biggest fan and would travel near and far to see the two compete. Montana joined Sydney and Claire as roommates sophomore year of college and became the very necessary voice of reason amongst the two hooligans. Fun Facts: I grew up on a farm! Similarly to the inception of Adam and Logan's frienship, John and Logan had to butt heads to begin theirs as well. The pair met at a St Joes highschool football game while playing backyard football. Unfortunately, the two were on opposite sides an quickly grew to dislike for one another. It wasn't until they met again at in the 6th grade and got to learn that they're both deeply competitive. That intense personality trait greatly fuels their current friendship whether its darts, bags, spikeball, or you name it, if the game requires a duo you can trust that these two are pointing at eachother. Megan is a UMM alumni where she and Sydney spent many hours in the biology department. They also enjoyed getting together weekly to watch The Bachelor with other friends. Megan and Sydney were also able to travel to Scotland, England, and Ireland together in 2018. After graduation when Sydney moved out to Milwaukee, Megan visited and over brunch Sydney planted the seed that Megan move out to Milwaukee. One year later, Megan and Sydney get to continue the tradition of weekly Bachelor viewings going back and forth from each others homes. Fun Fact: I can touch my nose with my tongue! Interests: If old ladies love it, I probably do too! Nik was one of the newer additions to Logan's friend group come High school but he made up a lot of ground quickly. Nik and Logan don't have a precise meeting point like the others but there's no doubt it was shortly after Nik's car accident and the fact that he would let Logan ride his mobility scooter down the school ramps. The two commonly refer to themselves as twins despite looking nothing a like. One thing they do have in common though, is the innate attraction to a dance floor the more you hand them something to drink. Mackenzie and Sydney met on the very first day of organic chemistry 1 at UMM where they struck up conversation and immediately decided to become lab partners. This started a great friendship of many chemistry, biology, and even physics partnerships as well as a trip to Alaska, Scotland, England, Ireland and Mexico. Mackenzie also inspired Sydney to join the UMM Tennis team where they were teammates for two years. Fun Fact: I won a trophy for “Prettiest Eyes” in a beauty pageant when I was 6 years old Interests: Sourdough baking, reading, & taking my cat for long walks through the park in her stroller Dislikes: Cilantro, loud chewing (these humans should be arrested), & occasionally people. If you're looking for Logan and Mario and you can't find them, a great place to look is nearby tennis courts. Some of their favorite memories together have been made through their historic singles matches, yet we will not disclose who leads the all time series. Beyond tennis, the two have been best friends since the 6th grade. From Spot runs to fishing days all around Kenosha County, you know that when these two are together, good times and bad ideas follow. Their most commonly shared interests are their love for good food and all things sports. Mario is a great friend to Logan no matter the situation, even though he tends to prey on his downfall at times. Sarah and Sydney met in 6th grade at Pilgrim Point church camp. The two were able to stay in touch through snail mail their first few years and hoping the other would be attending camp again until they both got email and eventually cell phones. All of the first meetings this is the only one that involves pain. Tim and Logan met roughly in the 4th grade at the St Marks Festival after Tim had hit Logan in the thigh with a baseball from a maxed out pitching machine. Despite, the bruise and two year gap the boys became good friends in 6th grade and shortly after they were hanging out after school everyday whether that be at basketball practice or the McTernan's house. With these two you could sit around all day and guess why they get along and most answers would be correct, however it can be boiled down that they were just meant to friends. Alyssa and Sydney both grew up outside of town and rode the same bus to and from school. It was not until Alyssa and Sydney both managed basketball that they quickly became great friends. The two spent summer days going on longboarding adventures, trips to electric fetus, hiking local trails, or attending concerts. After high school, Alyssa and Sydney both became busy and were able to keep close with Alyssa visiting Sydney in Morris and the two spending time together when both visiting home, but no matter how busy the two became, there was always this gravitational pull keeping them just as close as ever. If you asked Wyatt or Logan when they first met neither of them would have a clue but when they gave being friends with each other a shot, they clicked almost immediately. Once they became friends it was almost every other weekend that they were occupying the Draper's basement with the smell of Hillery's BBQ, "soda" fueled burps, and the smell of teenage boys that forgot to put on deodorant because they're too locked in on video games. The thing that keeps these two in lock step is spontaneity, whether it's starting their photography instagram, jumping into cenotes, or kayaking to Canada. The boys know how to have fun together. Sam and Sydney met on move-in day of Sydney's Sophomore and Sam's Freshman year at Morris. Sydney helped carry Sam's minifridge up to the 4th floor of his freshman hall (no elevator or A/C of course). Through similar extra-curriculars, Sydney and Sam were able to become closer friends until they were inseparable most days of the week. Sydney and Sam have enjoyed many adventures together including Sweden and Norway.
