The closest airport to the resort is Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (also known as Liberia International Airport). The airport code is LIR and the address is Boulevard Aeropuerto S/N, Provincia de Guanacaste, Liberia, Costa Rica. You can either use our travel agency, Destify, for assistance with booking flights or book completely on your own! We recommend kayak.com, Google Flights or Hopper.
Travel Note
There are lots of shuttle and taxi options from the Liberia airport to the resort. You are welcome to look these up on your own or we have posted some options below. You can also rent a car if you choose; there is free parking at the resort. (Be sure to download Waze if you choose to rent a car. Google Maps is hit or miss in Costa Rica). The airport is about an hour and 20 minutes (approximately 50 miles) from the resort so please keep that in mind when looking at options and costs! The average cost seems to range $50-$70 per person each way for a shuttle. This can be less based on how many people are getting transportation together. Travel Note
Until further notice, the U.S. will require a negative COVID-19 test taken within three (3) calendar days of departure or proof of recovery from the virus within the last 90 days. Due to this requirement, our resort will be offering onsite antigen testing with same day results for free to all guests traveling back to the U.S. You will schedule the test upon your arrival at the resort. Additionally, if a guest tests positive, the resort will provide up to 14 days of accommodations at the property at no cost for the person who tests positive and one guest. Travel Note
Until further notice, Costa Rica also requires mandatory travel insurance that covers quarantine accommodation and medical expenses due to COVID-19. You can choose any insurance company that meets the following requirements: Valid during your entire stay in Costa Rica, minimum of $50,000 for medical expenses, and minimum of $2,000 for accommodation expenses if purchasing through a U.S. company. We purchased ours through Trawick International (http://www.trawickinternational.com/) and it cost us $37.00 for both of us, as long as you enter in $0.00 as the trip cost. This will provide the minimum coverage Costa Rica requires, however will not provide coverage for trip cancellation or cancel for any reason coverage.
