Yes! The resort is family friendly so kids are allowed. There is both a kids club (Explorer's Kids Club for ages 3-12) and a teens club (Core Zone Teens Club for ages 13-17) at the resort, that are included in the all inclusive cost. There are also babysitting services provided at an additional cost through the resort, if you'd like to have a night off!
As long as you would like! We'd love to spend as much time as possible with our guests, which is one of the reasons we chose a destination wedding. We will be there from June 21st through the 28th.
Feel free to book that! We secured a travel agent just to help make it easier for anyone looking to book as a package and for their assistance with any travel questions. Although we do encourage booking through her, it's absolutely not necessary.
The dress code is beach formal. Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be right on the beach and we want you to be comfortable but also dressed appropriately.
We have made the decision to move forward with our wedding as planned. We completely understand if you are no longer able to attend. You can update your RSVP anytime on our site, and we wish you health and safety during this difficult time. For those who are unable to join us in Costa Rica, please stay tuned for details regarding a separate celebration at a later date! For those who plan to attend, please review our 'Travel' page for important information on travel requirements to Costa Rica and back to the U.S.
We recommend flying into Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (also known as Liberia International Airport). The airport code is LIR. This is the closest international airport and is approximately 50 miles from the resort.
There are a lot of shuttle and taxi options from the Liberia International Airport to the resort! You are welcome to look these up on your own but our travel agent can also assist with this. We have also posted some options on our 'Travel' page. You can also rent a car if you choose; there is free parking at the resort. (Be sure to download Waze if you choose to rent a car. Google Maps is hit or miss in Costa Rica). The airport is about an hour and 20 minutes (approximately 50 miles) from the resort so please keep that in mind when looking at options and costs! The average cost seems to be about $60-80 per person each way for a shuttle. This can fluctuate based on how many people are getting transportation together. We recommend shared shuttles for the lowest rates.
You can! We would encourage everyone to stay at Dreams Las Mareas but it is still an option if needed. However, the resort will charge a day pass fee in order for you to join us. If you just plan to attend the wedding events (ceremony, cocktail hour and reception) there is a fee of $90 per person. They also have half day and full day rates of $85 and $120 per person, respectively. Please let us know if you plan to stay at another hotel so we can let our wedding coordinator know.
