Charlottesville (CHO) - possibly more expensive, but very convenient. Car rental available, and town is accessible via taxi and rideshare.
Richmond (RIC) - approx. 1 hour (70 miles) away. More direct flights available than CHO, potentially more affordable. Car rental available.
Dulles (IAD) - 2 hours away. Most direct flights and options, but traffic and congestion around the airport. Car rental available.

Hotels
Hotels tend to run in the $130/night range, with a few options under $100. There are a few available along W. Main Street that have availability and are most convenient to the venue as well as town amenities, but they trend a little more expensive. There's a good cluster of hotels on Rt 29 around Hydraulic and those are also very convenient to all of Charlottesville.
