Emily & Samuel

    Wedding Party

Wedding Party

Yes, it will be a party.

Kayla Nicolini

Matron of Honor

Kayla is my sister and rock. She is one of the biggest Emily fans out there and loves harder than anyone I know. Sometimes her love is tough. Being five years apart, we both learn so much from one another. She teaches me life skills and adulting things, and I teach her Tik Tok trends. It’s a great trade-off. She has given so much to make this wedding possible for her baby sister.

Luke Blades

Best Man

Even though he’s taller, funnier, and better looking than me, Luke is my “little” brother. Being a silly goofy guy, he’s everyone’s favorite jester. But don’t be fooled by the jokes, Luke is a deep thinker. We’ve spent plenty of nights upstairs (Upstairs Council) talking about the Bible one minute and watching stand-up comedy the next. As a brother, he’s a built-in best friend.

Cassi (Vikrum) McCammon

Maid of Honor

Cassi is my cousin and has been my ride or die since the beginning. We have always been besties — even through adulthood. She is one of the most dependable and kind individuals I have ever come to know. Also, she is the funniest person I have ever met. Not even kidding. Ask her about “Vikrum.”

Trippe Howell

Groomsman

Trippe and I were born on the same day. We discovered this fact on accident when a mutual friend brought two cakes to the campus ministry we both attended. From there, a friendship and roommate-ship were born. He tells me about shows to watch, I tell him about books to read, he gets mad at me for not telling him things, I get mad at him for that loud mouth. Trippe has a bold personality and a big heart. Being an artist, he quite literally paints with bright colors.

Hannah Blades

Bridesmaid

Hannah Blades is the newest friend in my wedding party. Not only is she a sweet friend, but my soon-to-be sister in law. Growing up with two brothers, someone needs to relieve her with a sister … and I will do the honor. Her brothers give her a hard time about being the “least funny Blades sibling,” but I will no longer condone that. Because as soon as I sign the marital contract, they are all becoming the least funny Blades sibling to make room for me — the funniest Blades sibling.

Jonathan Franz

Groomsman

Jonathan is a childhood friend from my days in Starkville. After 8 years, we connected again at Mississippi State and were college roommates. Jonathan is an old soul and an encyclopedia of history. He’s one of the most loyal people I know, even to things that are difficult to be loyal to — like Mississippi State sports and the United Methodist Church. He’s a lifelong learner and a delightful conversation partner, even if he has a bad cat.

McKenzie Hershberger

Bridesmaid

Kenzie is my longest standing bestie in the wedding party line-up that is not a family member. We went to middle school and high school together, but it wasn’t until my sophomore year of high school that we became besties. We played tennis together for a year, where I was truly the tennis star (and put on the lowest rank of players) (no really, I got put on a made-up team below JV). We were both members of our high school’s show choir and vocal jazz group. One thing about Kenzie and I is that we will both be laughing. Regardless. We’re silly people! We’re always laughing together! Kenzie is loyal, constant, gracious and hilarious.

Ryan Stallcup

Groomsman

Ryan rocks, quite literally. He’s from Huntsville, but we didn’t meet until I was in college. We became fast friends through campus ministry and were roommates my junior year. Ryan is a gentle giant, a role model, and a steady leader. He’s got great taste in music, and our bond of being quarantined together will be a hard one to break. If there’s a rocking chair at the wedding, Ryan will find it.

Kaitlin Frank

Bridesmaid

Kaitlin was my freshman year roommate and is one of the sweetest friends I have ever come to know. Her heart is huge and she lives that out through her nursing vocation and various church opportunities. We have studied together, eaten many mediocre meals together in the IWU cafeteria, named plants, talked wedding planning, and dreamed of our futures with our husbands together. Kaitlin has a beautiful heart and I can’t wait for you all to meet her.

Will Carroll

Groomsman

Will and I grew up going to the same youth group and connected again in college. We were roommates for a semester before he got married — a wedding that I accidentally crashed. Will knows something (and in most cases, a lot of things) about everything. Yet, he’s a humble servant. We share a high volume of ridiculous and ongoing jokes, like orange-juice-and-toothpaste milkshakes and our affinity for Groundhog Day.

Hannah Barton

Bridesmaid

Hannah is my cousin and one of the greatest people-persons I have ever known. When I first moved to Madison, Hannah played almost a big sister role as I was getting settled into the new city. Her and her husband, Chad, even rescued me from the air mattress I slept on for 3 months, and bought me a mattress. There is not a selfish bone in Hannah’s body.

Breyden Stankovich

Groomsman

Breyden is my future brother-in-law. He’s the newest member to my crew, but he and Emily go way back. Breyden isn’t one to dominate conversations, but when he does speak, the people who listen are better off — because he’s probably saying something smart or something funny.

Taylor Martian

Bridesmaid

Taylor is one of my best friends I met during my SOAR internship at Nappanee Missionary Church. Being my roommate for the summer, I was scared of her at first. Now, she’s my favorite person in the whole wide world. Taylor is hilarious, thoughtful, and giving. She is an advocate for the minority and pushed aside. Fun fact: she flips the tortillas in a sizzling pan with her bare fingers.

John Davis

Groomsman

John is a dear friend from college. He’s a simple, dirt-n-worms kind of guy. He loves nature, mechanical engineering, and photography. He loves what he does and he does what he loves. John is faithful, loyal, and kind — everything you might want in a friend.

Mikayla Moore

Bridesmaid

You will never find anyone like Mikayla Moore. I met Mik during my SOAR intern summer and later moved in with her. We have shared so many raw life moments together, but also a plethora of dance parties, game nights, study sessions, and Main Street coffee runs. Mikayla is actively living on mission to serve our Creator and to make his name known to the ends of the earth. She just arrived back to the States after serving in Thailand. Mikayla is the embodiment of selflessness.

Cannon Kvicala

Groomsman

Cannon and I go way back — back to my days of cross country and having a buzz cut. We sat in the same spot at the lunch table every day and commiserated about running and working as lifeguards at the same pool. We played rec basketball and I taught him everything he knows on the court. What sustained our friendship through college was the memes and videos that Cannon would send me on a regular basis.
