“Finally! bone of my bones, flesh of my flesh.”

We met at a church-related event while Sam was home for Christmas break in Madison, where I was interning. He thought I was the most beautiful, incredible, amazing, funny, silly, kind, sweet, intelligent, exquisite, lovely girl in the world!!! We instantly shared an affinity for the Lord, Scripture, the Church, and books. We dated for ten months and now we are planning a future together!

“But there are also many other things that Jesus did; if every one of them were written down, I suppose that the world itself could not contain the books that would be written.”

We want our marriage to be just one of many books on the overflowing shelves holding everything good Jesus has done. We want our book to be chalked full of laughter, humility, an abundance of honor—given freely to one another—and of course, porch swinging with a Dr. Pepper. We want our marriage to be one of seeing and uplifting others, of kisses and compliments (for Emily), and of learning and teaching. Both sharing a passion and call to teach, we pray the way we love God and one another will be the greatest teaching demonstration we could possibly create. Thank you, friends and family, for praying for us as we begin to live out this mission. Continue to pray for a strong, faithful foundation to build our marriage on.
