University of Virginia
While you are in town, take a trip down to UVA ("Go Hoos" - Allie Conn"). While you are there you can reminisce on college days, walk the grounds, and visit the Rotunda, a beautiful building designed by Thomas Jefferson that offers amazing views of UVAs campus.
Charlottesville Historic Downtown Mall
Take a stroll on the Downtown Mall for good food and shops. Paul recommends getting an egg cream at Timberlake's Drug Store!
Monticello
They really like Thomas Jefferson in Virginia. Also, I know if you have seen Hamilton the word "Monticello" surely sets off a series of songs from Hamilton. So, whether you care for him as deeply as UVA does, go check out his home for its beautiful scenery.
Vineyards & Cideries
There are many beautiful vineyards and cideries surrounding Charlottesville (including our venue, Pippin Hill). If you have time, take a wine tour with views of the beautiful blue ridge mountains. There may be tours available if you are having trouble picking a DD.
Hiking
There are many beautiful trails surrounding Charlottesville. If you want to spend your Labor Day weekend in nature, Charlottesville is a wonderful place to do so. Allie Conn specifically recommends Hiking Humpback Rock.
