The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta
If you're in town early, Balloon Fiesta is Oct 1-9! You'll see plenty of balloons regardless, but the fiesta has fun events like the mass ascension and evening balloon glow.
Sandia Peak Tramway
Weather permitting, the tram offers a beautiful view of the mountains, city, and beyond, and there are some wonderful hiking trails at the crest. (Tram rides are by reservation online!)
ABQ BioPark
A very sweet zoo/aquarium/botanic garden complex. Keep your eyes open for the baby orangutan and baby hippo!
Old Town
If you want a touristy stop, Old Town has shops, local treats, a cute plaza, and a spooky nighttime ghost tour.
Rail Yards Market Open May - Oct
A Sunday tradition! Come for the local farmers and artists, stay for the smell of green chile roasting.
Downtown Growers' Market
And a Saturday tradition ;) lots of fresh produce, bread and pastries, live music, and very good dogs. And also green chile roasters.
