Western Kentucky has so much to offer alongside being so close to Nashville. We encourage you to try at least on thing on the list below even if it is visiting one of our favorite restaurants. We love this area and are so excited to be able to share it with each of you even if it is just for the weekend.

Our Favorite Restaurants

- Doe's: Steakhouse known for family sized steaks and tamales. - Stella's: Mixed cuisine with rotating menu and extensive bourbon selection. - El Torito (Cairo Rd): Our favorite mexican restaurant. - Kirchhoffs: Great place for lunch. Huge sandwiches plus a connecting bakery and coffee shop. - Piper's: High end coffee shop with a large indoor/ outdoor seating area now serving cocktails. - Gold Rush Cafe: Well known spot for breakfast. Laid back diner, however if you plan to go on the weekend the earlier the better.

Sunday is Easter, here are some local Churches.

- Catholic Churches: St. Thomas More, St. Francis de Sales , St. Jerome (Fancy Farm) - Non- Denominational Churches: Heartland and Church 419 - Baptist Churches: Over 20 options. - We have a church/ religious gathering place for most religions here in Paducah, please reach out if you need assistance finding a location for an Easter Sunday service.

Shawnee National Forest

Top hiking areas east of the Mississippi river. Garden of the Gods is the top spot for amazing views of rock formations. The entire forest (289,000 acres) has plenty of opportunity for hiking, kayaking, horseback riding and back country camping.

Superman Square

Superman Square, Metropolis, IL 62960

About 20 minutes from Paducah there is the world's largest Superman statue as well as a superman museum in his hometown of Metropolis, IL.

Nashville

Nashville, TN

About 2 hours away from Paducah. Famous for its Broadway bars, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry. There are concerts/ events everyday of the week, lots of shopping and unique restaurants. Highly recommend if you plan to come in for longer than the weekend to go visit.

The National Quilt Museum

Museum has several quilts on display. The city of Paducah hosts national quilt week each year in April which is one of the largest tourism events in this area bringing in thousands of quilters from around the world.

National Corvette Museum

About 2.5 hours from Paducah, KY About 1 hour from Nashville, TN

Mammoth Cave Visitor Center

1 Mammoth Cave Parkway, Mammoth Cave, KY 42259

The world's longest cave system is located about 2.5 hours from Paducah. They offer tours year around and highly recommend if you are coming in for longer than the weekend.
