Top hiking areas east of the Mississippi river. Garden of the Gods is the top spot for amazing views of rock formations. The entire forest (289,000 acres) has plenty of opportunity for hiking, kayaking, horseback riding and back country camping.
About 20 minutes from Paducah there is the world's largest Superman statue as well as a superman museum in his hometown of Metropolis, IL.
About 2 hours away from Paducah. Famous for its Broadway bars, the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Grand Ole Opry. There are concerts/ events everyday of the week, lots of shopping and unique restaurants. Highly recommend if you plan to come in for longer than the weekend to go visit.
Museum has several quilts on display. The city of Paducah hosts national quilt week each year in April which is one of the largest tourism events in this area bringing in thousands of quilters from around the world.
