FAQs

Question

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

Answer

We invite you to RSVP online on our website. Click on the RSVP page at the top. If you prefer, you may notify one of the brides by text and we will make note of your RSVP.

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

In order to notify our venue of our guest count and provide meals, it is important that you please RSVP by September 1, 2025.

Question

Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?

Answer

We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guests list just to those who know us well. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated.

Question

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

Absolutely! If your child is listed on your invitation we would love for them to attend the celebration. The venue has asked that children are supervised at all times due to some of the dangers surrounding the venue (i.e. water features, sharp rocks, traffic, etc). We all know children don't like to eat fancy foods. Therefore, we are also providing a children's menu that includes chicken fingers, fries, and fruit.

Question

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues?

Answer

The ceremony and reception are in the same location at Log Haven. The address is 6451 E Millcreek Canyon Rd, Salt Lake City, UT 84109 The ceremony begins at the Garden Meadows just East of the parking lot.

Question

What's the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue?

Answer

Personal vehicle. The canyon is safe and not scary at all to drive through. The cell service is not reliable in the canyon, so do not rely on UBER/LYFT to get you home. Please do not drink and drive, get a designated driver. Utah liquor laws are very strict, just one drink could get you in trouble with the law.

Question

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

Answer

There is free on-site parking. The parking lot is off to the right of the road just as you approach the Log Haven venue.

Question

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our evening ceremony will be outdoors in the meadow. The reception will also take place outdoors at the amphitheater and the paved patio. The library suite is indoors and available for any guests who wish to take shelter. Guests will walk to the meadow on paved pathways but will need to step on grass briefly to take their seats. For that reason, stilettos or otherwise-thin heels are not recommended.

Question

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?

Answer

We have reserved a room block at Hampton Inn. Please book your stay by August 30, 2025 to guarantee a room in our block. Use the link provided under the TRAVEL page while booking to receive our discounted rate.

Question

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel(s) for the wedding and/or prewedding events?

Answer

We will be providing shuttle service for our out of state guests between the Hampton Inn and venue. Ahead of the ceremony, there will be a shuttle at 3pm and 4pm. After the reception, the shuttle will be transporting guests back to the hotel at 9:45pm and 10:45pm. We will provide specifics at a later time. See more shuttle information under the TRAVEL tab.

Question

What should I do if I don't make it into the room block?

Answer

If you miss the deadline to reserve a room in our block, reach out to the hotel and mention our wedding anyway—they may be able to accommodate you with our discount in a room outside of our block. If not, you can find additional nearby accommodations on our TRAVEL page.

Question

What's the best airport to use?

Answer

Salt Lake International Airport (SLC) is the closest airport to the hotel and venue.

Question

What's the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

We invite everyone to dress according to your comfort and needs, but please keep it classy and semi-formal. Plan for walking on grass and dancing on a stone patio. We would recommend bringing a light jacket, it will get chilly once the sun sets. There will be patio heaters and an inside area to warm your bones if needed.

Question

Are there any colors or styles you'd prefer me to wear?

Answer

Can't decide what to wear? We invite anyone to join our theme so let us make some suggestions for you. Think boho meets Stevie Nicks meets mountain chic. Flowy, lacy, romantic, textured, and earthy with a bit of mystical edge. Our wedding colors are dark and light purple along with dark and light grey.

Question

What is the weather and climate like in the area?

Answer

Autumn weather in Utah can be quite comfortable. Average temps are 65-80 degrees F (18.3-26.7 C) but up the canyon they are usually 10 degrees cooler. A light jacket is recommended once the sun sets and brings in the cooler temps. The venue will supply patio heaters and there is a fireplace inside to keep you warm if the weather doesn't cooperate.

Question

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entree. The venue has an award-winning chef who will be providing the cuisine. We have selected two meat options of steak and chicken. Each adult meal comes with sides of vegetables and a chef-selected pasta along with a bread option.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Do you even know us? Of course we will have a bar. There will be an open bar for guests to enjoy throughout cocktail hour and the reception. We are working on 2 signature cocktails (vodka and whiskey based) along with a few different beers. Outside alcohol is not allowed on the premises.

Question

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

Answer

Our reception will end around 10:30pm, after which we will head back to the hotel. All the bars in Utah stop serving at 1 am and start to close down. We felt that little time we would have at the bars was not worth the trouble. I know this is disappointing so be sure to get your party on at the reception!!

Question

What are Utah liquor laws?

Answer

Surprise, Utah does sale alcohol! However there are some restrictions and rules you will want to know. The state has a strict DUI limit of 0.05% BAC so one drink could potentially get you in trouble. Restaurants can serve alcohol between 11:30am-1:00am with purchase of a food item. Bars can serve alcohol between 10:00am-1:00am, food purchase not required. Wine and liquor can only be purchased at state liquor stores. Beer can be purchased in liquor, grocery, and convenience stores. Be expected to show your ID anytime you want alcohol, even you beautiful boomers.

Question

I have more questions about your wedding, who can I contact?

Answer
