In 2014, both Simon and Stacy got job opportunities that would change their lives forever! Stacy moved to Abu Dhabi that February for what was meant to be a one-year exchange program and Simon traveled to the desert a couple of months later for a two year contract. On his first weekend in the UAE, Simon attended a BBQ and met Stacy. Both new to the country, they quickly fell into the same group of friends and started spending most weekends together - enjoying the Abu Dhabi beaches, taking group holidays to nearby countries and enjoying the UAE brunch life! After several months of hanging out as friends, Simon and Stacy realized there was something more, and on New Year's Eve 2015 they started dating! Both Simon and Stacy extended their UAE careers, and eventually spent more than four years in the country. Making the most of the nearby travel opportunities, they explored the Middle East, Asia and Africa. They also took a three week camper van tour of New Zealand (after Simon completed an Ironman!) In 2018, they made the decision to move to Vienna, Austria, and after an amazing vacation to Indonesia, they arrived in the autumn to settle in their new European home. On November 10th, in a restaurant overlooking the entire city of Vienna, Simon proposed and Stacy said yes!

Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch is located in the beautiful Arizona desert, on the Salt River, and offers a variety of outdoor activities, including hiking, kayaking and horseback riding. We chose this venue because it combines our love of the outdoors with the city of Phoenix, which after several trips to visit Stacy's grandmother, has become Simon's favorite American city! We are very excited to share it with our friends and family for our big day! We have exclusive use of the venue from Friday afternoon to Sunday mid-day, and we invite all our guests to join us throughout the weekend to enjoy the ranch and its gorgeous surroundings.
