CAN I BRING A DATE?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest," then YES! If not, we would prefer if it was just you.

ARE KIDS INVITED?

Answer

We love your kids--we really do--but we want our wedding to be your night off! With 7 children of our own and many excited nieces and nephews, this is a bit of a family affair and we completely understand that. Our own children, and nieces and nephews under the age of 13, will be heading to grandma and grandpa's following the ceremony for a night of fun with their cousins and a baby-sitter. We also feel this is the safest option for children and our guests since COVID-19 vaccines are not yet available to children under the age of 12. If you are in need of a baby-sitter at your hotel, please let us know. My sister-in-law is a teacher at the high school as well as a coach and she has many reliable connections for a sitter. WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Please see attire recommendations under "Lakeside Ceremony" on our Schedule page; however, we want you to be comfortable, so if those shoes are too high or that top button is too tight, let it all hang loose.

WILL I BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK?

Answer

The short answer is no, but the long answer is that policies are changing as more individuals receive their COVID-19 vaccine. Right now, the State of Minnesota requires those who have not received their vaccination to continue wearing a mask in public areas. That being said, there will be no "mask police" and we will not be requiring our guests to mask in order to attend. While the reception and dance will be held in-doors, there is ample space to socially distance both in-doors and outside. Weather permitting, the dance may be outside too! As mentioned, we will be providing wristbands for you to choose from to provide a visual to others of your comfort level. Green = okay with hugs and high fives! Yellow = okay with talking but not touching. Red = gonna wave from 6 feet. Again, we respect everyone's personal choice in choosing to vaccinate or not. Most of our friends and family are already vaccinated so we are confident that our wedding will be a safe event for all of our guests.
