A summary of how our lives together are, two childish romantics going at each other.
Stacy: I remember the first time I saw Josh. The Biology teacher at Lehman College assigned us to go on a trip to the Bronx Zoo. I stood up and looked around at the class of 30 to decide who I wanted to go with and that's when I saw Josh, the sun was shining on him as he was laughing and talking to some classmates by the window. It's hard to explain, but when I saw him smile, I knew out of everyone is that class of 30, he was the person I wanted to spend the day with. So I worked up my courage and walked over to him. Josh: I wasn't even supposed to take this Biology class that's in the Bronx, on a Saturday morning. I even almost cancelled the class, since it wasn't required for nursing. Almost a decade later I'm so glad I didn't dropped the class. Because this is where I met the love of my life. It was a fateful encounter, I was talking to a group of my classmates about going for an extra credit field trip to the Bronx and I felt someone stare at me. When I looked, there she was...her bright caramel eyes were on me, almost blinding me. We were friends for nearly 5 years before we got together, seeing each other as frequently as possible and even going to Spain together. For me it was love at first sight that turned into one of the best platonic friendship I ever had, and then on the year 2020, we looked each other in the eyes again and it was love at second sight.
Stacy: It was a beautiful Monday morning on our anniversary in November and I had taken the day off. Josh convinced me to get up at 6am to take a walk in Central Park, we were supposed to see a celebrity which was nice, but I was more excited about being in the park. It was the quietist I had ever seen Central Park, the trees were bursting with color, it was the absolute peak of fall. Josh: I know Stacy loves fall colors and I wanted to do something low-key. A friend had me told me the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park is empty in the morning. After getting friends and family together to meet us, I reached hardest part of the plan, getting Stacy awake on a Monday morning at 6 AM. To convince her, I told her I have some connection with someone from the Hospital that got us a breakfast double date with a really famous celebrity for breakfast, but it has to be early at a remote location. I didn't think she was going to believe me, but it was worth a try. When I proposed to her, she was so excited, I almost didn’t even get the ring on her finger. During breakfast at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, we saw Morgan Freeman sitting across from us. It was just a coincidence, but somehow the original story I told Stacy ended up becoming a reality. It was a day we’ll never forget.
