Brett and Stacy met back in July 2014 when they both worked at McDonalds. This part of the story will defer depending which one of them you ask :) so we'll just skip ahead! They had worked together for a year and a half. Although they went their separate ways, they both shared a mutual friend, Alyssa, which kept them running into each other over the years. Flash forward to May 2023, Stacy moves back to Wisconsin from Arizona after 7 years, and shortly after, Brett moved to Florida. In his words - are you freaking kidding me! Alyssa and Brett would often talk about Stacy, but then Alyssa realized... Stacy is starting to talk about Brett. The night of their friends Christmas party, while at Kwik Trip, Alyssa decided to randomly yell out - "Brett wants to ask you out!" And if you know Stacy, you know her immediate reaction to everything is "NO". But Alyssa knew Stacy would think about it. Meanwhile, that same night, as Stacy and Alyssa were celebrating their annual Christmas Eve Eve, Stacy kept bringing up the fact that Brett wanted to ask her out. So Alyssa knew, and texted Brett that night - "ask her out, trust me". After some liquid courage, on Christmas Day, Brett messaged Stacy and asked her out to dinner. This is where Stacy lets Brett sweat (quite literally too) - for over 24 hours. Stacy saw the message immediately, texted Alyssa, and pondered the idea of "why not" and "what if". The next evening, Stacy finally responded and agreed to dinner. December 30, 2023 they went on their first date to PJ's in Stevens Point. Brett flew back home to Florida the next day, but Stacy and Brett talked every day and began their relationship long distance. Once Brett eventually moved back home at the end of February 2024, Stacy and Brett have been inseparable ever since.
