El Coyote Cósmico
We loved this spot! It’s tucked away in a small neighborhood about 10 minutes from the hotel. It’s a local mezcalería with a great selection of cocktails (not just mezcal) and small bites cooked over an open flame. You have to try the pork-belly tacos.
La Negra
A casual dining and drinks spot with a great atmosphere and vibe, about 10 minutes from the hotel in the heart of Bucerías. It’s a cute area to walk around and explore before or after your meal. Their rooftop terrace is a designated safe space for women, so there must be at least one woman in your party to enjoy the upper level.
Karen’s Place
A casual beachfront restaurant with Mexican-fusion cuisine and beautiful ocean views while you dine. It’s only about 10 minutes from Villa La Estancia, right in the center of Bucerías. There are lots of other cute restaurants and bars nearby too, so it’s a great area to wander around.
Zona Romántica
Puerto Vallarta’s charming old town, known for some of the best restaurants and bars in the city. It’s very LGBTQ-friendly and has great nightlife, with tons of spots to eat, drink, and dance the night away.
Cuale Island Flea Market
A super cute little island right between Zona Romántica and Centro. You’ll find some of the best handmade gifts and souvenirs here from local vendors—perfect for picking up something special to bring home.
Malecón Boardwalk Vallarta
A gorgeous waterfront boardwalk in the heart of Puerto Vallarta. Great for a sunset stroll, people-watching, street performers, and popping into bars, restaurants, and shops along the way.
Sayulita
A small surf town with great local artists and vendors, plus a laid-back beach vibe. It’s about an hour away, so it’s easiest to visit with a rental car or a dedicated shuttle/driver for the day.
