One of our favourite local spots for a day out. It’s great for cycling, walking, or just grabbing a coffee in the forest café. There’s also a Go Ape for anyone who fancies the high ropes or a Segway ride through the trees. It’s right next to Center Parcs, so there’s plenty going on in the area and loads of trails to explore.
Our home village, and right in the heart of Sherwood Forest. We're biased but it’s a lovely little place with plenty of cafés, pubs, and independent shops, plus Sherwood Forest Visitor Centre — home to the Major Oak! 🌳 It’s great for a wander, a coffee, or a pint, and gives you a real feel for the area we now call home.
Right on our doorstep, the Welbeck Estate is one of Nottinghamshire’s historic country estates, and one of our favourite places to wander. There’s a lovely farm shop, café, and art gallery, plus regular food markets and exhibitions. It’s perfect for a slow morning, a bit of exploring, and a coffee in beautiful surroundings.
A short drive away, Clumber Park is a huge National Trust estate with lakeside walks, bike trails, and loads of space to explore. There’s a café, walled garden, and plenty of picnic spots if the weather’s kind. It’s a great place to stretch your legs or just enjoy a quiet afternoon outdoors.
