Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Stacey Ryan and Chris Cyronek
ACTIVITIES AT PARAISO DEL MAR The resort sits on its own private peninsula--just a 10-minute water taxi ride from the La Paz Malecon, restaurants, shops and culture. There are currently 90 finished homes, seven beachfront condo buildings and two restaurants. STACEY AND CHRIS' FAVORITE THINGS TO DO: - Golf a round or hit the range at the world class golf course on site. - Hang at the pool bar in the 50-ft infinity pool by the condos overlooking the beach. - Play a game of tennis or pickleball - Get a group together for beach volleyball. - Kayak or paddle board off the beach (note: you can often find yourself kayaking with dolphins or whale sharks close to shore) - Release baby sea turtles. Oct/Nov is turtle hatching season and many mothers lay their eggs on the beach. If you’re lucky, you may be able to help with a turtle release ensuring the hatched babies make it safely down the beach into the water.

CITY ACTIVITES IN LA PAZ (AND SURROUNDING AREAS)

We are excited to be travelling to La Paz and couldn't imagine getting married anywhere else. It is brimming with things to do and places to eat, untouched beaches and fantastic sea views. Popular tourist activities include: - Walk the Malecón. 3-mile long waterfront Malecón is a local favorite. Joggers enjoy their run along the shore, while families and couples walk here daily. It is also the perfect spot for watching incredible sunsets as the red, yellow and orange rays illuminate the sky above the sea and marina. - Eat your way through town. La Paz is a surprisingly international city with a great food scene. There are many tasty restaurants (street food to fine dining) serving up a variety of cuisines. - Take a day trip to Todos Santos. Todos Santos is a charming old town with boutique hotels, local artisans, incredible food and white sand beaches. The original Hotel California is located here.

WATER ACTIVITIES AND TOURS

WATER ACTIVITIES AND TOURS

- Visit the nearby beaches. With crystal blue waters and soft white sand, Balandra Beach is definitely one of our favorites. It is located about 25km/15 miles outside the city. - Swim with sea lions at Los Islotes or Espiritu Santos Island. A cluster of smaller islands, Los Islotes is home to a several hundred California sea lions. - Scuba dive in the Sea of Cortez. Jacques-Yves Cousteau named the area the “Aquarium of the World." You’ll see manta rays, dolphins, healthy reefs, shipwrecks, sea lions, and more. - Sandboarding. Book an adventure tour and sandboard the desert while looking out over the Sea of Cortez.
