What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you arrive by 3:15 p.m. to ensure everyone is in their seats for a prompt 3:30 p.m. start time.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code is black-tie optional. Tuxedos, dark suits, evening gowns, and long dresses would be appropriate. Please feel free to be festive and colorful - it is peak spring! For an in-depth guide to what black-tie optional entails, follow this link: https://www.brides.com/black-tie-optional-wedding-attire-4800698

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Plus-ones will be indicated on your invitation. Have a question or want to secure transportation/lodging with this in mind? Please reach out to Stacey or Anthony.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Those invited to the wedding will be on your invitation. Questions? Reach out to Stacey or Anthony.

Question

Will we be outside during the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Both the ceremony and the reception will take place indoors.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

Please keep your phones and cameras put away throughout the ceremony. We'll have two photographers on site. We welcome your photos at all other times!

Question

How should I get from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

It's about a nine-minute drive from Holy Rosary Church to Eastern Market. There are street parking and garage options near both, and Ubers are plentiful, which we recommend! The Judiciary Square metro station is a block away from Holy Rosary. You can get to the Eastern Market station by transferring from the Red line to the Blue, Orange, or Silver lines at Metro Center. This trip takes about 25 minutes.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Parking options are many near both locations. If you stay at the Arlo, no need to drive to Holy Rosary - it's a block away! There is also street parking along F Street and 3rd Street and parking garages at 501 3rd St and 300 Massachusetts Ave NW. By Eastern Market, there are several streets with available parking, especially once the Saturday market wraps up in late afternoon. There are also four garages along 7th Street, C Street, and Pennsylvania Avenue.

Question

What should I do in the gap between the ceremony and the reception?

Answer

We recommend heading over to the Eastern Market area. There are plenty of shops and cafes or bars to pop into, and you could catch the end of the Saturday crafts market. A few of our recommendations: Capitol Hill Books, Eastern Market Pottery, Spin Time Records, The Wells gin bar, Lobby Bar, and Tunnicliff's Tavern.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We are having a welcome party Friday night at Nero. We also plan to keep the party going once the reception wraps up at Tunnicliff's Tavern across the street.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend staying at the Arlo, where we have a hotel block with a significant discount secured. See more details in the Travel section. Remember this is a peak tourist season in D.C. We recommend you book lodging and transportation early.

Question

Any other questions?

Answer

Please reach out to Stacey or Anthony if your question isn't answered or if you have a concern. Just maybe well in advance of April 11 : )
