Stacey and Anthony met truly by some stroke of luck amid a night out in Washington during Anthony's first summer in Virginia in 2019. He and some friends out for the evening popped into the bar where Stacey was working (amid life as a typical unpaid intern in DC). When he asked for a Tito's and soda and if he could give her his number, she quickly found a pen and some receipt paper, which she still has to this day. Right after they met, Stacey headed down to the beach, and somehow they kept the formalities going for a few weeks until their first date in Georgetown. Fast-forward nearly five years, Anthony and Stacey headed down to Corolla for another beach trip, together this time, where he had planned a special date night. After dinner and some drinks that calmed the nerves, now upgraded from Tito's and soda, Anthony proposed at the Whalehead Club, a park on the sound where they had gone to watch several sunsets in previous years. This summer, they returned to the Whalehead Club to toast one year being engaged, and they are excited to celebrate their wedding back in Washington, D.C., at Eastern Market.
